PacNBox Movers of Sacramento

I have used Pac N Box Movers on two different occasions. The first time, they moved me out of the house where I had lived for thirty-five years and into a duplex. The second time, they moved me out of the duplex and into the house that I currently live in. On both occasions, they have moved absolutely all of my belongings and nothing was ever damaged. I liked that for the boxes that were labeled by room, they went ahead and placed them in the corresponding room. For boxes that were stacked in the garage, they were stacked nicely and it was very easy for me to get to them. They even set up the bed for me. Not all moving companies provide this kind of service. I am very happy with Pac N Box and I recommend them without reservation. more

This is the BEST moving company I have ever used. Lou the owner was super nice and I couldn?t believe how quickly and easily they moved me. I got my dream job in San Diego, and after working down there for three weeks, it was time to move all my stuff. I flew back to Sacramento on a Wednesday, Thursday Lou came over and gave me an estimate that was below what two other moving companies provided. I was nervous because I have nice furniture and Paul?s rating (on yelp) and story really made me nervous. Well, I was ready to get the move over with so I gave the job to Lou and Pac N Box movers. By Friday, the movers, who were super nice and courteous, showed up on time, and had all my stuff packed by 2 in the afternoon. The drove all night Saturday and showed up on Sunday morning at 6 a.m. and started unloading the truck. By 10 a.m. that morning, the guys were done and I had all my stuff, unloaded and NOTHING WAS BROKEN. Really, this is THE BEST MOVING COMPANY and I give thanks to Lou?s professionalism and really don?t see how the one stars on here could have happened. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!! more

These guys were awesome! Last minute and I mean within 2 hours of my calling these guys where there early and ready to move my stuff. My move was from a storage unit to an upstairs apartment. The apartment I moved into I had not actually seen yet I had just seen one like it. When getting to my apartment I realized the job at hand for these guys. My unit was on the back side of the building and in the middle....I felt so bad. There was no real easy way to get my stuff inside. These guys didn't complain they just moved the stuff. They were organized and quick about it. I have never used a moving company before but after my experience with them I am a customer of their's for life! We even asked then if they want to move me again in 6 months when i can get a better apartment. Buck just turned around handed me a card and said Sure! more

Horrible, stay away! I read the reviews before having them out for an estimate and had high hopes. Lou the owner came out promptly, looked around and provided me a quote to move our 3 bedrooms from Rancho Cordova to Reno. he said they did it regularly, how big their truck was, how good their guys were, said they would wrap all of the furniture, etc. I accepted their quote for a maximum of $1600. I really wanted an easy/no- hassle move and thought with us doing all of the packing and moving all of the misc./fragile items ourselves we shouldn't have any issues. Boy was I wrong! The day before the move, Lou called me in a panic that they moved someone to Reno and the construction delayed them by 3 hours and he could not afford to have that happen on our move or our cost could double. He then called me several more times to tell me the guys would be late in the a.m. and still freaking out about the traffic. The guys showed up the day of the move and I found out that they were a different crew than the day before. Gave them specific instructions, a tour etc. of what was to go. Lou stopped by and looked over things and all seemed ok except his concern about the traffic. After a few hours the guys said everything may not fit after all and it would be my problem. I ended up taking approx. 20 boxes to be sure they had room for the larger items. Because of the traffic concern I left an hour ahead of them to verify that there was NO traffic back-up. Lou then told me that they WERE able to get everything on the truck but now he was concerned that they might be overweight at the Nv. scales.(this was never mentioned) and that they might get fined or have to off load part of the truck and I would have to make arrangements to haul the items approx. 30 miles. Fortunately I was able to confirm the scales were closed so one more fire put out. The guys showed up and due to the fact Lou had underestimated the amount of items to be moved they were running behind and there might be additional charges. I offered to help them and also said there would be a sizable tip to keep things going. After unloading they presented me with a bill for $1,652 which I figured was not worth arguing about and gave them each(3) $100 tip and they bolted. As I was looking over everything they had unloaded I found they had not delivered everything and I called Lou and he told me to get a trailer and I could move the very large planters and assorted other items, he said it was ""no big deal"" to rent a van, ($250)drive 200 miles round trip, load, unload etc. So both Lou and the movers had lied to me, also since they overpacked the van many items were scratched or damaged. None of the furniture or mattresses were wrapped as promised. I tried disputing the charge with Wells Fargo(another fine institution) to no avail. I hope this helps others avoid their un-professionalism, lies and ineptitude. more

Mark and Haywood made my moving day great! They were friendly and professional. Fast and efficient as well as careful; nothing was broken or damaged. They finished my move in a record amount of time and the cost was less than I anticipated. I am recommending Pac Box Movers to all my friends and neighbors and will definitly use this company again. I chose Pac N Box movers because they had an A+ rating with the BBB, no complaints on record and they had a reasonable rate. I called Pac N Box about a month before our local move and Lou was courteous and knowledgably and gave me tips on moving, he said the movers would be there at 8 am on the day of the move. I got a confirmation call the day before. The moving truck showed up right at 8am, Sean and Ron came in and got started right away, they worked hard and didn?t stop until the job was done, they were very pleasant and professional. We had a lot of stuff and not one thing was broken or scratched, they were so careful with everything. They went the ?extra mile? to get things the way we wanted them. I was able to schedule the guys right away. They were on time, quickly assessed the job,then reviewed the paper work to prevent any misunderstandings. They came equipped with extra packing materials, which was fortunate, because I needed them. They could not have been more polite or professional. Very helpful before the move in telling me how to pack and make sure none of my fragile things would be broken.On time ..after 32 years in my house ,they moved everything in 4hours and arranged it to make it easy for me..Lou the owner was great..when I move again I will use them.. more

Call them they gave me great ideas for how to pack my fragile items. The movers did not take a break and continued to work hard. They put ""massonite"" boards throughout my white carpeted house. Workers damaged a couch of mine. A guy named Lou came out and fixed it. Overall the workers did the job in a good time and the price was good. I would recommend them to all of my friends in the Bay Area who are moving here to Sacramento. more

Guys arrived on time, they continued to work the entire time. The price was great! I used Starving Students Before and they took 9 hours to pack and move my apartment. This company did it in 8 hours but the price was nearly in half. A few scratches on the back side of my dresser...no big deal. I'd reccommend them to anyone. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more
