Service here leaves a lot to be desired. We waited for well over an hour for our food, and my order was COMPLETELY wrong. The servers were difficult to communicate with and were not attentive towards our group. The atmosphere is very cool, and the food is good (nothing you can't get elsewhere though with better service), but I will not be coming back here because of the incompetent service. more

Although this restaurant has been a favorite of mine for many years, there have been a few changes internally that have caused me to think twice about retuning. Usually a night at Piola meant taking home leftovers, but now the portions have gotten so small that I'm left hungry by the end of the meal. \r The bread is also served in brown bags plopped on your table with only a few slices inside. I know the economy has taken a toll on everyone, but it is so evident at this restaurant. In the past, Piola was a hotspot with a 15-20 minute wait minimum, now you can just walk in. \r The food is still the same quality and great taste, so it's still worth going to. more

I know everyone comes for the pizza but the pasta dishes are great. I love the Salmon Rosate, a nice size pasta dish with salmon and a pink sauce. Go during lunch and you'll find that two can eat for under $23...amazing for SOBE! more

Piola is great. I go there often and always go there. The service is great and the food is very good quality. I love the location and it is a great to eat there and then go to the movie theaters right next store. more

This is one of the worst restaurants I have been to, and I don't get the one dollar sign, because two people can easily spend over a hundred dollars on an appetizer, a drink each, two entrees and one dessert with coffee for the cruddiest meal ever. I ordered a pasta dish with "fresh" tuna that tasted like they had dumped the lowest quality smelliest oil packed can of tuna on top of a plate of plain spaghetti marinara more

This is the best pizza place in South Beach but, in my opinion, the quality is going slowly down. Hope they are able to do something and come back to what we are used to! more

What a shock. This restaurant with no curb appeal offers terrific Italian style pizzas, well made drinks, and good service. The type of place you might never enter without being told of it by a friend. The type of place that will grow through word of mouth. Definitely not your Dominos thick grease pizza. more

When you walk into this restauarant that has fused Italian and Brazilian cuisine, you're in for an experience. The pizzas have Brazilian City names and are delicious! Be ready to try pizza with catupiry (a type of Brazilian cream cheese) and don't judge it before you try it, it is a new, tasty take on pizza. As for the drinks, I absolutely recommend the Caipirinha, this is one of the few restaurants that can actually make it as it is meant to taste. more

Fantastic brazilian pizza 5/26/2006

This is not an ordinary pizza place, its a specialty brazilian italian restaurant. The food is GREAT. I recommend the Sao Paolo pizza with authentic capitury cheese which is imported from Brazil. This cheese is great (very much like the italian mascarpone cheese) I have been there plenty of times and never once had a bad experience. All the pizzas are great and dont forget a good drink... I recommend the caprioska with strawberries... its a strong drink but well worth the buzz... trust me :) Pros: good drinks, good pizza, nice atmosphere more

I love the service 7/6/2003

From the bar to the wait staff... I love Piola! Viva Italia e viva Piola! My boyfriend and I love to go there on Thursday nights and have pizza & beer-- an old Italian favorite!! Our favorites would have to be Alexander and his lovely wife who both work there and are as crazy & cool as can be!!!! Ciao bello! more

Great pizza... Great price... Loud music 2/7/2003

Finally tried Piola. Went on a Tuesday night. Seated immediately. Service was good, entire staff friendly. Food arrived promptly and was some of the best pizza I've had. Only drawback was the volume of the background music. Although not overly crowded when I went, the music was loud to the point where I was almost having to yell to talk to my dining partner. Pros: Good value, Great food, Good service Cons: Loud background music more

very tasty pizza and friendly service. The only drawback is the proximity of smoking areas to the non-smoking small section. more

Probably best pizza in Miami 1/11/2003

Stick to the excellent thin crust pizzas as the salads and pasta are just average. A good place to have a couple of drinks before the night starts. more

service was horrible 1/1/2003

service was horrible, it doesn't take 45 minutes to cook a pizza. seating is like a high school cafeteria. it wasn't enough that we were thoroughly annoyed by the service, but then we get the bill with an ""automatic"" 15% gratuity, of which they charged to our credit card even after being instructed not to. more

Yum! Yum! 10/27/2002

I have heard great things about this place and finally got around to experiencing it. The food was excellent! I have never had a meal quite as good and as authentic as what I ate tonight. I shared a pizza and a plate of pasta with a friend and I couldn't decide what to eat first, they were both delicious. The staff was quick and friendly and the music made you want to dance. I will definitely be going back time and time again. Pros: Clean, Prompt service, Nice decor Cons: Noisy more

REAL Italian Pizza 9/28/2002

The only place in Miami Beach that makes pizza the real Italian way-the way it is eaten in Italy! And the service is excellent on top of the great pizza...you can't beat that! more

Great Pizza and Service 7/31/2002

Too bad location keeps it off Lincoln but nevertheless this place is great. Some of the friendliest wait staff on the beach. more
