A quaint little library with high tech services 7/27/2005

Otis Library has 5000 books, periodicals and movies in their inventory and it's always changing to reflect the newest and best titles. Linda and Amanda the two librarians are wonderful and they can tell you exactly where to find books etc. The Dewey Decibel System is not utilized in the library but you can still locate things. The library offers Internet access, copy services and faxing as well. The even have convenient night hours for those who can't get there during the day. more

It's small but it gets the job done. 7/27/2005

Whether you go in to visit the town clerk for a dog license, visit the tax collector to pay your taxes or go complain to the first selectman they know you by name and they listen! Otis has a population of 1,892 and it's small. But that doesn't mean the people that are voted into office should not take their jobs seriously and they don't. You always get quality service and you feel like a name, not a number. more
