Oppenheimer Eye Clinic

So glad that I had a great experience at the Oppenheimer Eye Clinic given that my eye was so awful! I went to the eye doctor for an emergency visit while on vacation Oct 2013 and everyone there was wonderful! The front desk staff was very helpful with helping me to get an appointment, figure out my insurance information and even calling me a cab after my appointment since my cell had died. Both Dr's checked my eyes to make sure they had the correct diagnosis and they even helped me find a doctor near my home for a follow-up visit after my vacation. I wish every doctor showed as much patient care as this eye clinic does! Thanks again to everyone at the Oppenheimer Eye Clinic! Eye problems can be very scary but you all helped me feel much more at ease and I'm glad I came to get checked! more

I'm very shocked by the negative reviews I've read on here! I went to the eye doctor for an emergency visit while on vacation this month and everyone there was wonderful! The front desk staff was more than helpful to everyone who came in and no one in the waiting area seemed to be having any negative experience. Once I went back both Dr's checked my eyes to make sure they had the correct diagnosis. They even helped me find a doctor in my area for a follow-up visit after my vacation. I wish every doctor showed as much patient care as this eye clinic does! Thanks again to everyone at the Oppenheimer Eye Clinic! more

This place is horrible! The doctor is really nice, but the reception staff need a lesson in customer service. The blonde one is very unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend going here, since there are plenty of other choices in town. more

This place is the biggest ripoff in Key West. I paid for 2 pairs of presciption glasses that were both over $220. Neither had been polarized nor was I told what polarization meant after asking several times. I then had to take one pair back as they weren't polarized nor were they dark enough. I picked them up this week and when I told the girl that the one pair was fine but they obviously made a mistake w/the second pair, I was looked at blankly. I had to pay another $130 for these to be 'fixed'. She still looked at me blankly rather than offering them for free since it was obviously a mistake by them. I would never ever go back there and be ripped off again! I've heard from many others in Key West that this is how they do business and it is NOT right. From now on, I will go to Sears but certainly not OPPENHEIMER! They just care about getting as much money from you as possible and there is NO customer service. Leslie Stewart more

I purchased 3 pairs of glasses from this store totaling $757. Great customer service as I was shopping, the sales person even helped me find frames that were half off to try and keep cost down - a school teacher's salary doesn't go very far in Key West. Well about 6 weeks later one of the plastic frames (the one that was half off) started to discolor. When I went into the store to get them replaced, I was told that those were the 'discount' frames and that no guarantee was offered...hmm maybe they should have told me that when I was shopping! Well after some complaining they said they'd see if they can find another frame to fit the lenses in...I hope so the lenses alone cost $250. I would have to recommend that if you live in Key West, and are in need of glasses take a drive up to the mainland. It?s a long drive, but something as important as your eyes deserve quality care, both during and after the purchace. more
