On the Border has good food, but not great service. 4/15/2006

I have only been here once, because the service that time was so bad. It took almost an hour to get our food, and when it came it wasn't cooked properly. Thankfully, the replacement didn't take as long and was quite delicious. Once we were finished, we had to wait an hour to get the check. By the time we were ready to leave, the place was ready to close. Everything just took much too long, and it wasn't even a busy weekend, when the wait is prohibitive. Maybe we just had a bad day, but there are definitely better Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a shame, because the food was really very good. more

Great food 4/15/2006

On the Border has great food. I have eaten there on several occasions and have been pleased every time I have been. Their steak fajitas are wonderful! That is what I usually get when I go there. But even their chips and salsa are so good! They are all made fresh every day as well. This place is a great place to go to as well if you are into Cinco De Mayo. Although it is usually pretty packed that day. But the service has always been great and it is a great place to with your family or with a group of friends! more

Great Chain Mexican 3/16/2006

Most chain places taste like a chain place. on the Border is unique in that it serves up a bit more flair than most. In terms of appetizers I would recommend their empanadas, beef or chicken, both are delicious! Like all good Mexican restaurants they have a wonderful fajita, good taco, and nice combination platters. They even have a lunch menu that features some wonderful things, like a great chicken sandwich. This place makes going to a chain restaurant seem like going to Mexico! Don't forget to get a bowl of their queso, it is fantastic!! more
