Cute charming romantic quaint perfect... just to name a few words to describe the Old City House Inn. Our room, the Cordova, was just delightful. When we checked in, the dinner staff was very busy, but tended to us immediately! They offered us a glass of wine and graciously showed us to our room. There was a beautiful sundeck right outside our door, where we enjoyed our glass of wine under the starry sky. The inn is even in walking distance of all of the downtown attractions and shopping. The only complaint we have is that the breakfast waitress was extremely rude to my husband. We were told we could eat breakfast until 10am. We came to breakfast by 9:45 and the waitress rolled her eyes and told us we were late for breakfast but she would seat us anyway. But the food was devine! However, my husband never received his orange juice, and my coffee was never refilled. And we asked several times. We tried not to let our breakfast experience ruin our whole experience at the Old City House, and we came back for dinner. We were glad we did! It was the best dinner we have ever had. And the waitress was so lovely and polite. We would definitely recommend the Old City House for the inn and dinner service. It was perfect for us as an older couple looking for a quaint and quiet vacation.
