Love the Steak and Cheese Calzone!!! 4/4/2009

I've been going to Old Chicago for about 8 years now, mostly for happy hour or pizza and beer. Last week I tried the steak and cheese calzone - WOW! It was great and the crust was perfect. I like to dip the edges in ranch dressing. And of course my favorite server was quick and witty as usual. Thanks OC! Pros: Good food and Beer Tours Cons: Its real busy sometimes more

I love the beer choices 12/11/2008

Old Chicago is a good place to have beer and pizza with friends. The pizza is decent, but it often tastes as if they use a frozen, prepared crust.... more

Terrible management, hate the Colorado Rockies 5/26/2008

My friend and I went in to this establishment after a game of golf. We had been there a little over an hour, had a few beers and some nachos. We were watching the different games on TV and the staff decided to turn off a Rockies game for The Gladiators. My friend asked a waitress why would you do that. The next thing we knew Chad the bartender cut us off. I asked what do you base this on. Chad stated you guys have been playing Golf and drinking all day. I explained we had only had drank water during our golf game. I asked to speak to management and the manager Lisa Heer refused to give any reasonable answer as to the reason why we were being cut off just that if I was upset it was reason enough. Please understand we were not being routy or had too much to drink in any way, just a simple commented about turning off the Rockies game. We asked for another beer and found we had been cut off. This place thinks they are God and do not deserve your business. If you are a Rockies fan keep away from this place unless Chad and Lisa Heer (Rocky Baseball Haters) are fired!! In closing I am writing this 15 minutes after this incident. Do I sound drunk or simply outraged at being treated so unjustly? more

Bad management, hidden charges, rejected coupons & gift card fraud! No longer a good place. Avoid. 1/7/2008

What used to be our favorite place is now nothing but a nightmare experience every time. Management has a firm policy of adding unannounced charges to the bill for every substitution (not just additions), including substituting pasta sauce or salad dressing. Management also refuses to honor coupons, gift cards, and foamer bucks. Kid's night is a joke, as they give you a free kid's meal, then charge $2.75 to serve their soda in an adult glass. Their policy is to nickel-and-dime you $0.50 at a time, deny all discounts, then wonder why you are not satisfied and don't return. This place used to be a joy, as the food is decent, the beer is wonderful, and the servers are friendly - but current management has turned this into a corporate-run exercise in customer abuse. Last week Management refused to honor the gift cards purchased for Christmas, saying they were not ""same as cash"" but ""dollar off"" coupons subject to unpublished restrictions. Avoid this location at all costs. Pros: Beer selection & friendly service Cons: Management rejects coupons and adds hidden charges to bill more
