Wonderful school 2/22/2010

Wonderful school! I made many friends and I felt like at home. I finally graduated and I felt encouraged and supported by teachers and fellow students all the way. I was able to learn according to my own (slow!) pace and that was important to me. Pros: Going your own pace more

Very happy! 2/3/2010

I was looking for a career change in the field of alternative healing. I did my homework ie looked at different options available including acupuncture and western type of massage schools. I finally decided to enroll at the Ohashi Institute. Fees in order to complete the entire program are much lower compared to other schools, Ohashiatsu is a type of bodywork specifically designed not to strain muscles and tendons of the giver, and although there is no time limit to complete the program I can graduate in 12-14 months if I take some intensive courses. I took 2 courses so far and I am very happy with my choice. more

Fantastic! 10/5/2009

I am currently taking the Beginning II course. I am already able to give one-hour long treatments although I know there is still a lot for me to learn (there are 6 levels). I loved the idea of helping people feel better but I was concerned that it could exhaust me and worn my muscles out. Ohashiatsu is perfect for me: it is a type of bodywork therapy that is similar to Shiatsu but at the same time it goes beyond it. It aims to regenerate/nurture the giver too and it includes elements of meditation. Pros: Fantastic technique, great people Cons: It takes at least one year to graduate, lots to learn! more
