Oh La La Hair Color & Spa

I have been going to Oh La La Salon for 8 years now. Every time I go, I leave feeling fantastic and looking great. I specifically go to Carlo. He knows how to work with long hair, and really knows what he's doing. When I go home my hair styles itself! I can either style it with blow drying, flat ironing, or curling, and regardless of what I do it looks fantastic! There are also days when I just wash my hair and leave it to air dry, and it still ends up great! I am always happy when I leave. I don't get to go as often as I would like because I live in California. However, I am planning to make a trip specifically to see Carlo and get my hair cut. I have gotten my nails done there, and it's not great. The nail polish did not last, and my cuticles were cut too much (I ended up bleeding). I don't know about their other services, but I have seen people leave with great make-up and hair styling. Thank you Oh La La for the fantastic service for the last 8 years! more

BEWARE!!! Don’t bother coming to this salon unless you want to get ripped off! I had my hair colored by Daciel, a supposed hair color ""expert."" I came in with a photo of how I wanted him to dye my hair (light brown with highlights and lowlights). I walked out with orange hair with yellow steaks and dark brown patches. We live in Royal Oaks in Miami Lakes and I loved that Oh La La is so close but after going there a couple of times and being satisfied I was taken care of by a very flamboyant, angry, loud man who did what he wanted and not what I asked. The haircut he had in mind was this horrific bouffant looking 'do but in the end, after much directing and re-directing he got it right and I was happy. He was not! I returned months later and sat down with an American woman from Iowa who claimed she knew how to work with my hair-type. I asked for the same cut I received from the previous guy and she said she understood. I don't know where she went wrong but halfway through she stated I would look good with shorter hair and went for it. She cut my hair so short that she had to use the clipper to shave the hair at the base of my neck. I looked like a boy! I paid went home and after the shock wore off I got angry and stormed in there to demand my money back. I was so infuriated that I just cried when I got there and since I was leaving for a trip in a couple of hours they gave me my money back, another woman re-did my hair (it was all uneven!) and styled my hair into a much cuter and more stylish hairdo that I could live with. She also did my make-up for free to help with the redness of my cried out eyes and blotchy skin and gave me the hair product I would need to recreate the look. That was the highlight of the 3-hour ordeal. Needless to say, I haven't been back and now they have downgraded to a smaller store. If you work for them and leave they may hold your paycheck. Husband left them only due to not enough business to survive. After leaving he waited till Payday to stop in for his paychecks. He was told it was mailed. As of yet we have not received the paycheck. It has been three weeks now. We have stopped by and was told by one owner that they are not responsible after it is mailed. The other owner has said twice they need to check to see if it has been cleared at their bank. Well it has not been received so it can not have been cashed.\r We have called to only not be called back. I have called the owner in Miami salon and owner in Plantation salon and they both have failed to call us back. No one can afford to loose a paycheck these days. My husband worked very hard for OhLaLa. Did personal work for owner and did not ever ask to be paid. This work would of been very expensive if he called someone else to do it for him. Oh La La Hair Salon in Miami Lakes keeps losing their best hairdressers. My theory is that Carlos, the owner, is a bit uptight and too harsh on his employees. I get my hair done by Lily, who recently quit, unexpectedly. She was great and by far one of the best hairdressers I've come across. I also get my mani/pedi done there, but most of the ladies there gossip way too much in front of the clients. They talk about other clients, co-workers, even the owners. Something I find to be sooo unprofessional. I put up with it only because I love the way Lily did my hair. The prices are ridiculous and Terry practically was shoving expensive products to my face, pressuring me to purchase them...how rude and unprofessional. She is clearly the owner's pet. Since Lily is gone, I will not be returning to Oh La La...I will find a more professional salon to spend my money at. Love their manicures and pedicures. Staff is professional and two ladies have been there for years! That's a good sign. Prices could be more affordable so I could go more often. But, as they say, ""you get what you pay for."" I've tried other less expensive nail salons and what you get are techs who are just out of school and do not know what they are doing. You cannot compare with the mani/pedi at Oh la La. \r \r I will continue to go there due to the friendly staff and professional nail services. I have gone to Oh La La for years now. I've finally decided to take my fat pocketbook somewhere else now. First, the people that this spa hires to do nails are rude and low-class. They talk on the cell phone while doing pedicures which is extremely rude. Second, the woman who does waxing and facials acts like a snob. She insisted on waxing unnecessary parts of my body just to get more money out of me which is ridiculous. I've gotten into many arguments with her. To top it off, as I get my nails done, she comes over and tells me I need a facial because I have wrinkles and horrible looking skin! I'm only 30! Very rude. I don't go to a spa to be told I'm hideous. BTW, it's the spa in Miami Lakes by the Winn Dixie, perhaps I should try the Oh La La in Broward where they may hire professionals. I go to the Oh La La Spa in Miami Lakes for hair services. I've also gone for facials and waxes. The hairstylist is great! However, I will not be getting waxes or facials anymore due to rude and condescending service. I constantly felt pressured to buy expensive facial products that I did not need. In one month, this spa milked me out of $600. Needless to say, I will not be seeing Terry anymore for facials and waxes because I do not appreciate being accosted and pressured to spend an exorbitant amount of money. hey everyone!\r well i just had to come on here and tell you all about the best manicure and pedicure i have ever had! I saw the reviews for (oh la la) in Plantation, and i saw that it was really close to me, so i ventured in to check it out. Well I am sold! I loved it! I will be coming back to see Marta every time I need to get me nails taken care of. I also had waxing done, and WOW she was awesome! i have an appointment to get my hair done and I am sure I will not be disapointed. And one more thing, the owener is always at the salon, and everytime i went in he always comes by to see how i am. I love this place! Hey friends! got to tell you about this great salon in Plantation called Oh La La. I went there to get a facial with Alexandra the salon's facialist. She gave the most incredible facial I have ever had! It was so relaxing and my skin felt so soft afterwards Alexandra was terrific, so friendly and profesional she made me feel so comfortable that I decided to let her do my full brazilian. The salon was very warm and inviting and the whole staff made me feel very welcome. Definetly a place that helps its clients to de-stress and relax. I was in your salon about two weeks ago it was a real find. I live close by and had no idea you was there. The staff was just so nice and wanted to please. Rick did my hair cut and I have been able to follow the great tips he gave me when I do it on my own. I hope he stays there and does not go anywhere else. It is so hard to find a good hairstylist. I do plan on coming back for more services. I know I will not be getting my hair done anywhere else by anyone else. I do not remember who the manager was but thanks for being so friendly to your customers. On previous review...I failed to mention that The shampoo and conditioning treatment was by far the best ever. Met with all techs who handle. (Waxing, nails, facials). And the manager actually comes over to personally meet you, greet you, and see if there is anything he can get you. Where in America, do you see that.. Have been to the supposedly ""high end"" salons, where you do not feel the satisfaction that you will feel after having visted here. Everyone is smiling, the staff & the customers, and you are checked on through each and every process. This place is truly a hidden gem in Plantation.....Looking forward to my next return...Oh yeah did I mention that Rick is pretty incredible with hair color....Used the best products I have ever had on my hair. Ever! In an industry where service does not always put the needs of the client first. Oh La La Turns back time. They manage to exceed your expectations.. My hair was dry, damaged and had no luster or shine. Rick managed to restore both the color and condition of my hair to where it looked rejuvenated. Treated as if I was the only customer there, when quite clearly I was not. I was stressing out from work and needed to do something for myself. I decided to pamper myself with an afternoon at the spa I tried this new place by my house in Plantation called Oh La La. I decided a facial and manicurepedicure would do the trick. The facialist Alexander was terrific She was friendly and pleasant and gave me the most relaxing facial. She really helped me to relax and de-stress. Marta did my manipedi which wwas also great. The salon environment was very relaxing and I was really able to de-stress. My hair was out of control It was in desperate need of help as I have not done anything with it for so long I saw an ad for this new Salon in my area of Plantation called Oh La La. The name seemed cool so I decided to give it a try, I met with Bill the owner and he set me up with Barbara one of his best stylists. We talked about a lot of looks for me and decided on color and a new style. She did my color at there new color bar where they applied my color while I sipped wine. In no time I had this great color and a new style I looked like a totally new woman and was more refreshed. My friends could not believe the change Barbara was so patient with me She really new what I needed to look terrific Great place friendly staff and they know what they are doing. Hey Girls. Last Thursday thi salon hosted this great Ladies Night out Party. It was really cool!! For a reasonable fee I got to experience a variety of services that the salon offers. I had a mini facial, shoulder massage and mini manucure. It was a lot of funThey served food and wine to their guests while hey were enjoying the services. The staff was terriffic, friendly and fun. It was agreat night out after a long day. Hey Gals, I just had the best experience getting my hair done. I went to this new place in Plantation called Oh La La and had the most amzing experience. They have this great color bar set up in the salon where you sit to get your color and hi-lites put on while having a glass of wine. Ben was the stylist who did my color and he did an awesome job. I tried the new salon that Ben went to and though t was okay, Oh La La was a much more inviting and personable place. I enjoy the ambience and the exceptional personal attention that I get each time I go plus the salon offers we an abundance of different and unique services from European facials to swedish massages all for me to try. Oh La La is the place for me and I will continue to go there. I have been attending the salon for quite some time. All the stylists are simply amazing, and Emily is finally back! I get the best haircuts from Carlo and they make the best cafe cubano in town. If you want a well rounded staff with a friendly atmosphere, this is the place to be!
