My wife just bought this business on November 1, 2012. She has been a long time client of the center & maintained her weight loss over the last 10 years. She has a vision and drive inside her to help others. Denise cares about each and every customer that calls the Weightloss center. I have seen her go ""the extra mile"" to help start others on the Nutrisystem program. \r Another advantage of using the local Nutrisystem store is that you pick the foods you like right off the self. So you get the scientifically proven foods along with the emotional support to keep you encouraged and on a steady path to weight loss and weight management. There are no program fees or contracts, you only pay for the foods. The foods are Tasty, convenient and healthy. Many customers eat the food for proper nutrition. I love the breakfast, lunch and snack bars. omg, the fudge graham lunch bar is very good and keeps me going between meals.I have tried many of the foods and like all of them. \r more

A comfortable place to lose weight and buy your food 7/19/2011

I was so concerned when I went to the League City Nutrisystem that I would be judged by the staff over my weight. I was also concerned about high program fees. Neither was true, the staff was warm and friendly, and there were no program fees. The staff is very knowledgeable ,so they were very helpful with my weightloss questions. The Nutrisystem food was very reasonable in price, and most of all I got the results I was looking for, and reached my weightloss goal. The staff was always pulling for me, and the Nutrisystem food made it easy to lose weight. Thin in league City more

Service has gone downhill 6/24/2011

Business was doing well until owner decided to fire her best employees for personal reasons, now going downhill fast. However, these things have always taken place: Owner discriminates against race and sex regularly. Owner talks negatively about customers behind their backs and does not know how to manage her staff, which leads to an extremely high turnover rate. Owner complains about the perfume people wear and if a customer makes her unhappy for any reason, she will comment about hoping they never return. Owner very inconsiderate, interrupts staff as well as customers constantly and has no personal skills whatsoever. She does not listen to her clients or anyone for that matter and lies to customers about many things. I would go on, but I'm sure this gets the point across. GO ONLINE and order. It is ALWAYS cheaper. more

I should have known with the kind of service I had received before enrolling, not to even go into the place. I decided to let the unprofessional experience on the phone roll off my back, as this place was a convienent drive from my home. \r \r I had called the center one morning at the stated time of opening. The phone was answered by someone that acted like they had something better to do, was uniformed of the questions I had, and spoke in a low, dull, monotone. \r \r When I had gone in for my initial consultation, I was met by the overly-giddy, what I found out later to be the owner, Jean. The overly-giddiness bothered me because it was not only unrelenting, but phony.\r I was weighed, etc., consulted in this first meeting by one that was nice enough, but obese. Clinically, morbidly obese. Very nice personality, but it gave me a bitter taste, being consulted on how to loose this 20 lbs. of post-pregnancy weight, by one as this. She is the MANAGER, no less. \r \r This one was not the only one overweight at the center. There's another older woman, likewise overweight. The phony owner dons a good sized gut. \r \r Image, much? \r \r I once went to the center, and had an appointment no less, one morning at opening hour. I went to the door (glass-see through) and the door was locked. It started to sprinkle. I knew, as any business, that they would open the door at any moment, so I stood there, although it continued to sprinkle. Most importantly to mention here, there was a woman filling the display case with boxed food. I do not know if she saw me there initially, but I saw her back, closeby no less, for a FULL 5 MINUTES, while I stood there, in the light rain. I finally decided to knock a couple of light knocks. She didn't even look at me right away, she put a couple of things on the shelf, shuffled over to the door, didn't give me eye contact. She simply unlocked the door & turned her back & went back to the boxes.\r \r Professional?\r \r Out came the phony baloney owner a minute later, but only when she was darn good and ready, not apologizing for the wait in the rain no less. She may have been unaware of the way her worker treated me, but no doubt this happened because there's not to much in the standards department with this owner. I think this person must have been the uninformed phone answerer.\r \r I once called the center, shortly after this, to put in an order for my weekly food that would be picked up later that day. I was speaking to the owner. In mid-sentence I was interrupted by the owner shrieking, HUUUUUSH!!!! She was chastizing a worker for speaking, evidentally too loudly while she was on the phone with me. I do have to mention here that I have called places in the place where it was loud in the background and I could not hear the person on the other end very well, but that was not the case here. It was so bad, it was one of the worst cases of unprofessionalism I have ever experienced. I was embarrased for this owner, and could not wait to get off of the phone.\r \r Speaking of which, this woman is not a listener, but a talker. She speaks over the one she is having a conversation with, and often turns the conversation to herself and her experience. If you mention you are fatigued, you'll hear how she used to be fatigued, but her experience was worse.....as she once was soooo fatigued that she could not get up from the chair. She'll go on and on, holding you a captive audience, speaking of herself. The program with the food, aided with my weight loss, but I stopped going shortly after beginning. I continued on, up the highway a few miles to Jenny Craig where it was a WORLD of difference, for the better, all around. I strongly suggest you do too, as most likely my unfortunate experience with this company will be yours.\r more
