My 92-year-old cousin, who is cognitively sharp but physically frail, hired them to provide her with a home health aide. That aide went on to write more than $10K in fraudulent checks to herself from my cousin's account. When we discovered this and brought it to the attention of Laura Zemon, the owner of the agency, she refused to bring the matter to the police, saying the responsibility to do so rested with my traumatized cousin. What's more, despite the fact that Ms. Zemon represented herself as ""bonded,"" she refused to return any of the money that had been stolen. Her excuse was that Nurse Bank's insurance doesn't cover ""those types of situations."" She even refused to return the commission she earned from placing the aide, arguing, outrageously, that she didn't make commission of the part that was stolen. My cousin remains financially and emotionally devastated, and Nurse Bank has left her entirely on her own to deal with this, not returning phone calls or otherwise accepting any responsibility for the aide they brought into her home. There are many home health care agencies to choose from and I couldn't urge you more strongly to look elsewhere. We've since engaged another agency and the experience has been absolutely night and day.
Pros: None that we experienced
Cons: Not bonded, extremely poor oversight of their aides
