Cancer patients can receive their treatment close to home and to their loved ones. NICTC was founded in 1988 as a not-for-profit center whose sole purpose is to provide the best cancer care possible to all of our patients. Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ or type of cell in which they start - for example, cancer that begins in the colon is called colon cancer; cancer that begins in basal cells of the skin is called basal cell carcinoma. Just as there are many types and origins of cancer, there are also many treatment options. Northern Illinois Cancer treatment Center is a newly expanded state of the art facility that provides the latest in treatment options. we are accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology.
