I've been a customer at this dealership since it was Yoder Pontiac, and have purchased both my 2006 Pontiac GTO and my wife's 2011 Regal since the switchover to North Star. I typically know what I want before I walk in the door, so while I didn't really need ""sold"" on either of our current rides, the paperwork process was quick and easy on both. I've never had much in the way of major service problems with my GM cars going back to my first (1969 GTO...the Judge, baby!), but the dealership has been great to deal with with routine maintenance and minor service issues that have come up. Can't speak for anyone else, but the place has earned my repeat business. more

This Place doesn't even deserve 1star. GM cust. Serv. Set us up w/ an appt to have our vehicle serviced there since they have such 'gm cert. Master mechanics' well after 8 hrs I was sent home w/ a new computer system assured my problem was definitely fixed...NOT....returned to them for them to assure me my problem was def. The battery which they wanted $200 for bc they tested it & it had a low charge. (mind you it tested fine the day before at my regular mechanic shop) I went home, tested myself,&it tested perfect. Went to 2 other places (advances auto etc) where it tested fine, plus its only a year old. They had no clue what was wrong so they decided to lie to try to cover their behind and not look like idiots. They said if I didnt replace the battery I must remove my car from their lot, and wouldnt look into any of the issue I suggested that more than likely were causing my problem (im a mechanic myself) they treat you like you don't know what youre talking about when meanwhile its them. To top it off GM will not take further action to service my vehicle bc their mechanic is assuring them its the battery when it is OBVIOUSLY NOT. terrible service bottom line SAVE YOURSELF TIME MONEY HASSLE AND STRESS DO,NOT PURCHASE OR GET SERVICED THERE! more

BUYER BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! On April 20, 2011, I purchased a so called ""GM Certified"" vehicle from North Star through Autotrader on the internet. On May 3, 2011, and only 500 miles on the odometer later I took the vehicle to another GM dealer in my area because my wife said there was a noise coming from the front end. To my surprise, I was informed by the Service Manager at his other GM dealer that the vehicle was never registered as a ""GM Certified"" vehicle by North Star. To fix the vehicle it required new brakes all around which I understand never met GM certification standards, it required a new control arm and strut, a new shock, and an alignment. My call to North Star took me to a guy named Ron Carello who said he was the owner of North Star GMC and he made $500 per hour (I later learned from the Service Manager that Ron was the Manager and Ron Dakan is the owner). The manager explained to me that North Star gave me such a great deal on the vehicle and hey....""what should I expect"" I only paid $20,650.00 for the vehicle. Also, if I wanted to get it covered under warranty I should return the vehicle to them so their service department could verify that the repair work ""really"" had to be done. Why trust another GM dealership when you can inconvenience the customer. Unfortunately my family and I live some 400 miles away and driving to see the $500.00 per hour guy just wasn't feasible....so much for the ""bumper to bumper"" nationwide GM Certified warranty as my salesperson Mr. Bellissimo from North Star promised me and I thought I paid for. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR THIS MANAGER WHO SAID HE WAS THE OWNER. HE IS EVERYTHING THAT MAKES YOU CRINGE WHEN YOU TALK TO A CAR SALESMAN. more
