This place is now closed. This place is kind of the hub for North St. Paul. This is where you go after your kid's sporting event or the church council meeting. I really want this place to do well and survive, hopefully it will. It is an old Ground Round that local owners were able to keep open under the new name. We've been here a number of times over the years. The restaurant side has always been about average. A few years ago I promised I'd never eat there again since the portions were so measly. A neighbor told me things had improved so I've tried it a few more times and things are better, but not great. Last time I ordered the Philly Steak and Cheese on the recommendation of the waitress. It was good, but not great. It was also on the small side (which is actually probably better for me so I shouldn't complain). Service is great with staff willing to share an opinion and a neighborly attitude. Prices are reasonable at ~$8 for a hot sandwich and fries. They have the trivia games on the TV screens which my kids love to play. I've also been to the bar with the neighborhood guys for beers and enjoyed that. Their outdoor patio is nice after a round of golf in the summer. Advice to them is to accommodate the groups that come here after their local events. Even if they bring their squirrelly kids with them. This is place needs to cater to the neighborhood. I?ll probably go to the bar area more often once the state wide smoking ban kicks in. In the mean time, the bar is smoky.
Pros: Neighborly
Cons: Portions on the small side, Smoking in the bar
