my family has been eating at north china since it opened. in fact, my folks were their very first customers on their opening day. my sis worked there, and so did i. still my favorite place. i live all the way up in everett, but still stop by for great chinese whenever i'm in the edmonds area. best potstickers ever ! friendly service. clean environment. more

After reading the two previous reviews I decided to give the restaurant a try. I went there for lunch today, June 13, 2006 and ordered my usual Mongolian Beef with fried rice and egg drop soup, I always judge a Chinese restaurant by the quality of its Mongolian Beef. I was very pleased with the order, its nice presentation and aroma. All the ingredients were fresh and it was not slathered with sauce like I have experienced in other restaurants, I could even taste the flavor of the beef. It was a joyful taste experience with each bite and before I knew it, it was all gone. No need for a doggy bag. The egg drop soup was delicious as was the Chinese tea. A very enjoyable lunch for only $5.85. I am looking forward to returning with friends soon. more

I work in the downtown Edmonds area. There is not very many good Chinese restaurant nearby. However, North China is one that our company visits frequently. Great service and best is that they have fresh flowers. The owners are very friendly and very accomodating to special request. more

I stumbled across this location with my family by accident, and we have been back several times since. This restaurant is hidden in a strip mall behind a supermarket, and appears to be nothing special from the outside. Pains have been taken to spruce up the interior, however, and the food speaks for itself. I've been frequently disappointed with the Chinese food I've had in Seattle, generally due to the quality and preparation of their meat, particularly the chicken. I want meat, not a mouthful of batter or gristle. That's one reason this place was such a find. I haven't explored the entire menu, but the sweet and sour chicken is a family favorite. The spring rolls aren't too greasy, the pot stickers are tasty, they have a way with preparing your mu-shu burritos that I can only marvel at. The service has generally been quick and friendly. The price is reasonable. So far this is our favorite Chinese place, and I'd highly recommend it. more
