If you work or live downtown and are looking for a quick delicious lunch, I recommend Nordstrom's Cafe.
Their menu contains the normal fare of soups, salads, sandwiches, and pastas but the quality and flavor is anything but standard. My usual choice is the Mixed Berry Chicken Salad which contains mixed greens, fresh blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blue cheese, candied walnuts, and tender chicken breast. Accompanied by a cup of their creamy and divine Tomato Basil soup (a thin parmesan-crusted crouton for dipping is inlcuded) and your stomach and palate will be happy and satisfied.
I recommend going before noon or after 1pm as the lunch hour gets very busy and it can be hard to find a table.
