Well, I read the review calling Noble Fish a nice little Chinese Grocery store. It's Japanese. That makes a big difference, and goes a long way toward explaining why it's a "little jewel". While the sushi is very good, it's better than most Americans will appreciate. (especially if you think it's Chinese) The store is even more appealing as the produce, fish and dry goods are to Japanese tastes. "Spartan" atmosphere (found in Greece?) fits Japanese sensibilities. Try this place for quality, not for it's "cool" urbane value. more

Dont judge this book by the cover. Tiny little grocery store on the outside. Inside at the back of the store is the best sushi you will ever eat. There is not very many table, sometime you have to wait to get a seat, but it is really worth the wait!!! All the sushi is prepared to order. I have never had sushi as fresh as this and at the best prices in town. My wife and I eat at Noble Fish at least once a week. more

If you've ever driven through Clawson, you may have noticed a little Chinese grocery store along the strip...and just ignored it. After all, it's just a ethnic grocery store, right? NOT!!! If you head towards the back of the store, you'll find some of the best, freshly prepared sushi...AT AN AFFORDABLE price, in the metro-Detroit area. It's not very big as far as restaurants go, perhaps ten small tables and seating at the counter. Oftentimes there is a line during lunch and dinner times. Do not let this scare you away. If you are a fan of sushi and do not mind the spartan atmosphere, check out Nobel fish. You won't regret it. more

This sushi is pretty decent, for the sushi lovers. Good sushi for on the go. The eating area is very cramped and congested since it is located in the back of the grocery store. They also sell on the go sushi. Theres something about that place that makes me go there on desperate times. more
