I'm from the east coast, and I baked in a traditional bagel shop for four years. I'm not sure I can even call their product a bagel! These are machine-formed and baked in a steam oven. They aren't dense enough, and the crust is barely there. I'm not saying they're awful, but please, please don't call them bagels. They're a distant cousin to the real thing.
My other objection to Noah's is the faux New York Jewish deli atmosphere. Can't put my finger on it, but it really, really bothers me.
Pros: Next to Peets, Next to Wild Oats
Cons: Fake bagels, Bad atmosphere
