I have never written a review before but I am compelled to write this one, I had an auto accident last month and, since it was my first one I was upset and just a bit scared. I am a homecare nurse and without a vehicle I can not work so this accident, although thank goodness no one was hurt, was devastating to me. I called Maui rentals ( No Ka Oi Motors) and was assured that I could get a rental, they gave me a car for a good rental price, answered all my questions, offered sympathy, information and calmed my frazzled nerves. When the insurance totaled my car and I looked for another one, they were right there assisting me, making it easy and painless with no pressure. Mike and Rick are so sweet and helpful and I am so lucky I called them when the accident happened. They took care of me like family! Pros: good service, good selection, right on main road Cons: no parking to speak of more

Kali?I Oliveira at Maui Car Rentals, Inc. (aka No Ka Oi Motors) has got to be the rudest person I have dealt with on Maui. We get that the cars are older (and therefore supposedly cheaper to rent) but the only discount you'll get is on common courtesy and professionalism. They were really nice to us until they got our money, and then they were done with us. We will never use them again and will recommend that our friends stay away as well. Kali'i was unnecessarily incredibly rude to us when we tried to sort out an extension of our car rental, which we had already confirmed twice. It was apparent from his attitude that he no longer needed us and therefore did not feel the need to be courteous (or truthful for that matter ? three different people were told that the extension was confirmed). Worse, he didn?t care that the car we rented was literally falling apart. His mistake was thinking that we were just tourists. Go to Dollar. You will get a better attitude and a better deal for a newer, cleaner car in perfect working order. Pros: Close to airport (must call to get picked up first!) Cons: Rude staff, lack of interest in customer service, poorly maintained cars. more
