Warranty Repair -- Emergency Drop-In 11/9/2013

My virtually new 2013 Nissan Frontier started behaving strangely, the hte "check engine" light came on. I was relatively close, so dropped into the dealership unannounced, and without an appointment. Their service team went out of their way to (1) get me back on the road with a rental at their expense, the (2) commit a mechanic to correct the problem ASAP. All was back to normal the next day. Thanks everyone! more

Friendly Nissan Dealership 11/8/2013

The service center staff are excellent - always friendly and stay in regular contact with regards to my vehicle. The work is always done well and never takes longer than it should. My only negative is the cost - my whole family has Nissan's but this dealership seems to be slightly more expensive than theirs. Overall, I will continue to go back. more

Awful experience. My wife and I were going to buy an Xterra from Jaremco Nissan, but now we will never go back. Blue book for the Xterra was 14,500 in really good condition. It had no extras at all and was very basic, was in ok condition but it had been in a rear minor collision before according to the report they gave us. At first they couldn’t even find the vehicle and my wife was going to leave but she drove around the corner and it was sitting right there.\r It had a few small things that needed to be fixed that should have been easy to deal with for them. When we went to start it to test drive the battery was dead. I’m ok with that because batteries die (they blamed it on the cold weather but it hadn’t been super cold in the few weeks before. More likely it was an old battery and they didn’t even bother to test it). The salesman got the jump box and it started right up but when we were hooking it up there was a great deal of corrosion on the battery terminals (you would think this was something that would be checked and cleaned during their 150 point inspection, later the guy said it was a 151 point inspection. Maybe they need some more points in there). The car was listed at 16,900 when we test drove it, but blue book was 14,500. \r It drove fine and we were ready to make an offer the next day after work. When we went back the original salesman wasn’t there so we go a random girl who knew nothing about the car. She claimed that Jaremco paid over 15,000 for the vehicle and put 1,400 into it so there was no way they could go down below 16,900. \r Then we were brought next door to the manager, who also knew nothing about the vehicle or what was going on. He then claimed that they paid somewhere in the 14,500 range for it and that they put over 2,400 into it. They obviously didn’t ckeck the battery (or get the candy wrapper or gummy bear out from in between the seat and console). He also said that they were there not to sell cars but to get customers. Uhuh…\r He showed us some report that had wholesale vs. retail prices. Whole sale was 12,500. Then he pulled it up on the internet and the price was suddenly 17,995… He said he wasn’t in control of the internet and that whatever price we saw it listed at is what it would sell for. It was their own company’s website not a secondary site. \r The report had several things on it including up-charges for mud flaps and running boards. Well, the Xterra had no mud flaps in front or in back and there were no running boards. That was the end of it for both of us. Not only did nobody we talked to know anything about the car, but they were blatantly lying to us and trying to jack up the price to get more money out of us. I know car sales is a money business but if you get caught in a lie you are done as a salesperson.\r They lied about a few things that we caught so what else did they lie about? Did they catch everything on their 174 point inspection, or was it 183, or 192? If they even did an inspection.\r I have bought only a few cars in my life and I guarantee neither my wife nor I will ever go back to Jaremco Nissan in Spokane. The people we dealt with were blatantly dishonest and luckily we were smart enough not to get swindled by them. What they should remember is that a happy customer will tell 5 people that they had a good experience but an unhappy customer will tell 50 that they had a bad experience. I am hoping to reach as many people as possible with this. Nobody deserves to get liked to.\r more

Great Place to Purchase Your Next Vehicle 11/3/2013

I was looking for a Frontier king cab 4x4. They only had one in stock at the moment but plenty of crew cabs. My salesman, Robert Oliveria, was extremely helpful, knowledgable, and patient. I test drove the one they had, a Pro4X, and thought that it was nice but had too many extras that I didn't need. Robert said that he'd let me know when they got in a model more to my specifications. He called me a day later to tell me that they got a new shipment with a truck he thought I'd like. Test drove both models a few days later and decided that I liked the Pro4X better. The price we ageed on and the generous trade in of my VW GTI sealed the deal. The service department even took care of a weird request of mine, no problem. Everyone I met at the dealership was helpful, professional, and just the opposite of high pressure salespeople. It was an overall pleasant vehicle-purchasing experience. more
