Nikki's Cafe

Check out this place! We just moved here and it's the best place in town. The salads are huge and the dinners are delicious. I had the chicken fried steak and it was to die for. The homemade bread is a great accent with the honey too. Great value and atmosphere. more

When we first moved up here, we loved their soup and salad and especially the carrot salad. We invited our whole family to dinner and what a disaster! They ordered a little of everything on the menu and had to send it back because it was either over cooked or tasted horrible.They ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was so bad they put their napkin over it. Needless to say, we haven't been back since.They need a New cook!!! more

This restaurant is neither good nor bad. It is average. When I first moved to Apple Valley, I just loved this restaurant and took many of my guests there. The place was enlarged for more seating areas, which shortened the waiting time. They have a beautiful decor of Victorian Country. So eating in that atmosphere is certainly a plus for the ladies! But, then, as time went on, I started losing interest in the place. Mostly because of the food. The apple they put on my plate always seemed to be mushy, and I hate mushy apples! The extra large lunch salads seemed to be getting smaller. The food just did not seem appealing to me anymore. My friend and I stopped going there for lunch, and my husband and I haven't been there for dinner for ages. I would suggest you go once to try it out and see what you think. A lot of people in this area still eat there and keep it quite busy most of the day. And, I'll go back there again one of these days. more

Nikki's Cafe offers standard diner/truck stop fare at reasonable prices. The food is OK and portions tend to be very large. There are daily specials for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that can be quite a bargain. The decor of Nikki's is rather unusual. The whole place is chockablock with chintz, ornate lamps, and funky sculptures. Be sure to check out the display cases at the entries for more sculpture and glassware for sale. more
