Reliable, proficient, and qualified, NextGen has always worked well for me. I?ve used them as a renter as well as a landlord and their services have always gone above and beyond to satisfy. more

As a student knowing nothing about Boston Nextgen could have easily taken advantage of me, but I felt like I took advantage of them! Nextgen hooked me up with a really nice studio for with cheap rent and I couldn?t be more grateful so I figured I?d write you all a good review. Thank you Nextgen! more

Nextgen Realty was there for me when I only had 2 weeks to move and got me into a place that was exactly what I wanted with no complications. I trust them for any real estate requests. more

The agents at NextGen are experts specialized Boston's market. With every request I have made I have been thoroughly impressed with efficiency with which my agent responds and gets it done. If you haven't used NextGen yet you should give them try. more

After my experiences with other realty companies I'm grateful for the agents at NextGen, they're very personable, friendly, while keeping it professional. They did all the hard work in finding me a new rental and made moving simpler than I expected. more

NextGen didn?t waste my time bringing up listings that were not within my criteria or price range, (like other realty offices cannot seem to get), -- I told them exactly what I wanted and in under a week they found it for me. It was well worth the money being able to go through a Realty company that didn?t add to the stress of going through a divorce plus I?m very psyched on my new pad. more

After receiving only a month?s notice from my landlord, (whole other story), NextGen was there for me immediately. I was really busy at the time and wasn?t able to spend more than one day looking at places. My realtor understood, was impressively prepared, had planned a well thought out day for us to go looking, and after a long day of looking at 16 surprisingly good rentals within my budget, she even bought me dinner, (taking into consideration my dietary restrictions!), at place she had reserved before-hand so that we could discuss everything we saw. She didn?t try to sway my opinions and offered expert feedback. I am very impressed with NextGen and highly recommend them. more

I decided to try NextGen Realty to buy my new home because I was tired of my last realtor giving me the run around and was impressed at how knowledgeable and experienced in Boston's market my agent was. My agent had worked his whole life in Boston and was specialized in Boston's market which was exactly what you want when looking for a home to buy. I'm very pleased with NextGen and my new home. more

It all depends on which realtor you get. I found an apartment that I liked and contacted the realtor. She was friendly but extremely casual. The unit was a two bedroom first floor unit. Another unit on the second floor was also available which was the same floorplan but also included the attic which had two additional rooms. My roommate and I weren't interested in 4 rooms, so we focused on the two bedroom. We felt the apartment was overpriced and tried to negotiate a lower rental price. Our relator must have failed negotiation school because the price did not budge at all and she insisted that it was a good apartment for the price and to sign the lease before it was taken by someone else. more

do not use them to rent, they will keep all your money!!!! 1/26/2012

they cashed our check for first month, last month and broker's fee ($9342) before the lease was signed, we informed them 4 days before the deadline to sign the lease that we have changed our minds. We never signed a lease and they said they are keeping the money. The apartment is not even available until next month!!! our agent was Jasmine Berry. Renters beware!!!!!!!! more

rude and puss ies 6/3/2010

Horrible place. Very rude front desk manager. I wanted to sublet my room and my landlord told me to get some forms from a realty nearby. Since my contract said Jacob Realty and NextGen is part of them (apparently owns Jacob Realty), i went there. The front desk manager was relatively rude from the start even before I explained what I needed. He said they don't have anything to do with my apartment. He gave us some rental form to sign without explaining and I had to figure out how to get my subletter to fill it up without signing anything she didn't have to. I showed him my contract and he asked who I did the deal with, then said he'll find out. 1 minute later, from his desk he just signaled to me and gave me back my contract, asking what I needed from him, with rude emphasis on ""from me"". I said, I guess just the form we were filling and he looked away. When we finished filling the form, I wanted to hand it back to him. Another guy took it and gave it to him who was on the phone. He snapped at us saying ""No you don't give this to me, you give it to your landlord. Unless you wanna pay me! You wanna pay me?"" I managed a ""No, of course not. You're not very helpful."" and walked out with my subletter and the form. As I walked out, I looked back at them and all the other 4-5 guys there just looked away at their computers ignoring the whole thing or maybe afraid of the dude. On comparison, the next door City Realty guy was helpful when I first asked about this. Later I realized they don't gain anything from helping me, but at least City Realty treat you with more respect as a person, the way any company should. After all, my contract is with Jacob Realty which is owned by NextGen. I am a customer still under contract. Seems that if he isn't my agent, or if they already got their rental fees, you're not even a person anymore. Pros: looks professional, like stockbrokers. Cons: looks turned out to be very deceiving more

Amazing Realty Service 1/14/2009

John Cronan from NextGen Realty did a great job for me when I decided to rent an apartment in Boston. My friend and I are from California and were going to school together and decided to get a place. We are going to BC and back in August when we met him, he really helped us learn the ins and out of the area (including good routes to get around bad Boston traffic like Soldiers Field Road, and Memorial Drive). We didnt know much about Boston Real Estate but had heard real bad things about how difficult it was to find places. But John never made us feel like we weren't going to fin the right apartment. Every time we called in the front desk managers were always helpful in connecting me with him and getting the information that we needed. As college students, we are obviously looking for the cheapest price we can find that is still a legit looking apartment. John was able to get us a negotiated deal, and was very impressed by his skill. We found a great apartment perfectly in our price range in Brighton right by Oak Square. He also took the time to drive us and show us where the Arsenal Mall in Watertown MA is; this was important because he showed us where Best Buy, Target and Home Depot were located. Overall our experience was very positive and we highly recommend NextGen Realty. more
