  • For more than 100 years, Newnan Utilities has supplied electricity to the city of Newnan. We strive to provide excellent customer service at competitive rates All of the source water provided by Newnan Utilities is surface water from streams and lakes. It is pumped from Line Creek, Sandy Creek, Brown Creek and White Oak Creek into the storage reservoirs adjacent to the treatment plant. Currently, our reservoir system, comprised of 9 lakes, holds 1.7 billion gallons of water. These large capacity reservoirs retain water that is later treated and distributed to our customers. This system also guarantees a water supply, even in a drought. In 2007, Newnan Utilities proudly announced the implementation of a long term, practical solution for bio-solid reuse with the development of a composting program. This responsible choice will create a soil additive bi-product to be used in landscaping..
