Laptop repair is best in NYC without a doubt 3/10/2011

I'm very prone to laptop crashes - you name it, I've had it. A computer virus, spyware, blue screen of death, spill, etc. I've gone to different computer repair shops in my time of need, but I'm sticking with New York Computer Help from now on. I got my laptop back the same day; got a clear free diagnostic; and was even given a complimentary calendar. Amazing techs and even more amazing personalities! more

Laptop repair is best in NYC without a doubt 3/10/2011

I'm very prone to laptop crashes - you name it, I've had it. A computer virus, spyware, blue screen of death, spill, etc. I've gone to different computer repair shops in my time of need, but I'm sticking with New York Computer Help from now on. I got my laptop back the same day; got a clear free diagnostic; and was even given a complimentary calendar. Amazing techs and even more amazing personalities! more

Affordable and fast virus removal service 2/14/2011

My laptop wouldn't boot up all the way. I turned to Best Buy and they said the operating system would have to be reinstalled and it would be ready in 5-7 days. And I needed to buy Windows 7 for the license. Needless to say, I wasn't happy about that quote. So, I turned to New York Computer Help for a second opinion. In short, they made my day! They removed the virus in the same day and only for $99. This was much cheaper and faster than Best Buy. They even gave me some tips on how to back up my files going forward and recommended a better way to secure my computer going forward. It doesn't get much better than New York Computer Help. more

Quick and cheap data recovery. My kind of place! 1/24/2011

My external hard drive decided not to turn on and I have important work files on there. I brought it to the New York Computer Help shop and was happy to get it back the same day. They could have charged me hundreds of dollars to recover the files which I would have paid, but instead told me that the enclosure of the external hard drive just needed to be replaced. They had the part in stock and replaced it. Easy and very affordable. I'll definitely be back when disaster strikes. more

True pros! 12/20/2010

I thought everything was lost when my hard drive went down. I had some important files in there... Well, it's a common story, is it? These guys did their best and none of the files got lost. Would recommend them to everybody who has the same problem. more

Excellent Service 12/17/2010

It's true, these guys are New Yorks Finest. My computer freeze was fixed the same day. That has never happened ever, anywhere, until I went to New York Computer Help. In New York City this kind of computer sevice is unheard of and their reputation for being the best is truly earned. more

Great, fast service 11/29/2010

I had a problem with my computer's power supply. These guys replaced the part quickly and for a reasonable price. I brought it into the store and in about an hour it was good to go! I am so grateful for the reviews on Citysearch that led me to this place and for Joe and his team at New York Computer Help. Love their monthly maintenance onsite computer service 11/9/2010

I have a small office with 10 PCs, and for the longest time, I used to act as THE computer administrator assisting the staff with email issues, keyboard issues, and any other time-consuming PC problems. It became a time bog for me since I had more important things to do like running a business! I met with the New York Computer Help owner, Joe, to strategize how to de-stress and better plan our IT support. He recommended going with monthly computer maintenance to take care of any non-urgent computer issues...which is great since I now tell my staff to just email me their requests and then I hand it to the computer technician for the upcoming monthly maintenance. Any urgent issues NYCH comes out within hours to assist. I'm writing this to lend a voice to any other small business owners who want to take care of their IT without breaking the bank. These guys are reliable and really have offered a dependable, reasonably priced computer service I can count on. more

I was nervous of costs and downtime, but I was pleasantly surprised ? they consulted and set up computers and a server to share emails, calendar and files. They also made sure the network is secure and files are routinely backed up. It?s been 3 months (I waited to make sure everything is stable), and everything still works perfectly! My dell desktop wouldn't boot and it had all of my company's files on there. I was on the phone for hours with Dell and they said the files are not recoverable and go to a data recovery place. New York Computer Help was honest enough to let me know my motherboard failed, but my hard drive was perfectly fine and didn't need data recovery. They recovered the files to a new external hard drive, all for under $200 for the labor and part. They even emailed me instructions on how to import my emails. They really care and I appreciate their superior customer service. more
