Never going back. 3/1/2012

I tried to love getting my white tip acryilic nails done at this salon however, after 6 visits I am giving up and going else where and heres why: I was nicked on the pinkie by the nail grinder and left with a small bleeding cut however, I still went back thinking little oops happen. When it came time to use the gel coating which is an extra $5 the lady was trying to use up the rest of an nearly empty bottle instead of opening a new bottle, after 2 coats the gel coating didnt look that nice. Here's the biggie getting my nails done was not relaxing nor enjoyable because, every time the acryilic nails were taken off it was painful (plastic nail tips where slid beneath the acryllic nail and my natural nail) so painful that this last time I was pulling my hands back in pain. It felt like the acryillic was being ripped from my natural nail. The edge of my thumb nail was torn to where it bled. I told the lady that it was smarting she just gave me a dumb smile and kept doing it. The only reason I let her finish was I didn't have time to go else where. I know now why the place is always empty. I dont think getting your nails done should be so painful that you do not look forward to having them done. When you have a comment on something that you are paying $35 dollars for you should not get excues and dumb smiles. more

I was just down in Los Angeles this weekend and I decided to get a manicure. This place was just a couple of blocks down from my friends' house so we decided to go there. The thing that attracted us most was the prices. I remember that it was $15 for both a manicure and a pedicure. If you wanted french tip you had to add $3. add $5 for a design. It is a place owned by Korean's I think they were. The entire time I was there the TV was turned to some channel where there was a minister preaching to his congregation. Hmmm....I dont know, I just thought that was interesting. I was getting my nails done and everything seemed fine. But when I got my french tips I wasn't really satisfied with my manicurist's work. I felt bad but I asked for it to be redone. The second time was better but still not the bomb. However, it started coming off 2 days later! IS that really how long a manicure should last? I dont think so. I think I would still concider coming back here, I would just get a solid color however. It is easier for the manicurist to do and I would hope it would last longer. more
