haven't had this much fun in Dallas 9/30/2008

Im a 45 year old divorced mother of 2, and I haven't had this much fun since I was 25. The events are fun and the people are so nice, from wine tasting to horseback riding. Can't wait for the Australia trip either.\r Recommend this place Pros: enjoying things i've never done, or atleast haven't in along time more

Fun, and Happiness is what life is about 9/25/2008

I'm glad I joined E&A (Dallas), it has been a good time and I've made several friends. It' s been a great help emotionally and physically. Especially after my divorce 2 years ago. The events were well put together, cause lord knows that I don't like to plan anything; it's nice just being able to click a button and go. I would recommend this, I have also already brought in a girlfriend of mine after she had attended acouple events with me and liked it. The people are kind and caring. Pros: wonderful people and fun more

They should be ashamed! 9/1/2008

Rip off! Save your money. Events and Adventures is only out to get your money. I was promised 15 events per month in my area (Arlington, TX) and since I joined a year ago, there have only been 6 events outside of Dallas. Events that were scheduled in my area were changed at the last minute to a location in Dallas and most of these events are things you can do on your own and not have to pay an additional fee for. They will try to ruin your credit because there is no way out of the contract. Once you are in, you are in. I am disputing my contract per the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act but that doesn't matter to the Seattle based company. It's their money - for a product I didn't receive, or my credit score. Stay away for E&A. They are bad news and not worth it. Their sales reps are taught deceptive practies and the company enforces such behavior. Shame on them and their employees for taking advantage of people and not delivering on their end of the deal! One word: Karma. more

Really glad that I joined 8/18/2008

I was nervous about doing this but I joined. I was really impressed by the guy who interviewed me and thought that if everyone who comes in has to go through this, then they are serious about having quality members. He even told me about some of the recent people who did not qualify and why. So I went to my first event and I was totally blown away! I met some really great people. I joined this because almost all my friends got married and I want to get out and have fun with good people, and I am also interested in building a future with someone. I was glad to see that there were some really attractive ladies here who were fun, witty, and genuine (which is sometimes in short supply). I also met some guys to play flag football and disc golf with. I can see myself being here until I'm married. I'm glad that I got over myself and just jumped in! By the way, I read some of the other reviews and saw that one person thought they were better than everyone else (wow) and someone else didn't want to pay their bill (freeloader) -- give me a break. I'm glad they weeded themselves out--more fun for me!!! Events & Adventures is a fantastic way to meet good, quality single people. Pros: Great people, way less than a dating service more

So glad I joined! 8/16/2008

I'm Having a blast. I'm finally doing fun things with my life and have made tons of friends!~\r \r Highly recommend It! Pros: No more sitting on the couch/ things to do everyday!/ made tons of friends Cons: money, but it paid for itself in 2 months more

I love this club 6/17/2008

I joined the club in November after divorcing from my wife of 4 yrs. Being a foreigner to the USA and divorcee, i was ready to move back to my country of birth. \r I then heard a radio ad and checked it out...Wow what a cool place as I was not ready to date then I know am.As a single guy this place is packed with ladies who are all single and got their act together.\r They always doing fun things and the nice thing is that there is no pressure unlike those dating sites(which i would never use again). So this year looks very promnising with maybe even an overseas trip to come... Pros: Lots of fun and single people more

great idea for anyone new to dallas, or just looking to meet more single friends!!! 6/17/2008

this club has helped me so much, i am new to dallas and moved outhere for work. when i got here i didnt know anyone. i had met a few people through work but they were all married. since joining events and adventures i have met more single friends in the last 30 days than i have met in the past 4 months i have been in dallas. the events are fun and well planned out and every night of the week i can find something fun to go do. thank you events and edventures for making my transition to dallas more fun than i would have expected. i would suggest this club for anyone looking to meet fun single people in the area, it worked for me i know it can work for you! Pros: lots of events and great people! Cons: none i can think of more

AWESOME CLUB! This was one of the best things I've ever done! 6/9/2008

I joined Events and Adventures about a month ago. I was pretty skeptical going to my interview. Several years ago I joined a dating service and they completely screwed me, plus I only met twelve people (and there was no chemestry with any of them). So going to this interview I expected more of the same, but I wanted to check it out anyway. I must say that I was really blown away! First, my interview was a lot of fun. I met with another member (I think her name is Brandy) and that really helped. She was an absolute riot, and I figured that if she was like the other members, I would have a great time. Plus I couldn't believe how much less it was than that dating service from a few years ago! At E&A I would meet a two or three times more single people at every event than in a whole year at the dating service, plus go to as many events as I want!!! I like that it's not about ""finding a date"", but I would like to be married someday so I am looking (but trying to appear as though I'm not). Now have several dating options, but I'm going to a few more events so I can see what they are really before I ask anyone out...BECAUSE I CAN :) Since I've been a member, I've met a few new buddies too. I even ran into that member who interviewed me while on a bike riding event. And I do mean ""ran into"" -- our bikes collided (all by themselves, I swear) and we landed in the grass. It was pretty funny. I'll be laughing about that one for awhile. And you want to know the best part? One of those ""dating options"" I mentioned--she is still taunting me a little about the bike crash--I think that she just might be perfect :D, and if not then there is always the next adventure. There are just so many fun single people that I know that I'm bound to find the right one at one of these events. This was everything I hoped and worth every dime! I'm so glad that Brandy helped me to get over my skepticism and I just jumped right in. Thank you, E&A! Pros: Tons of fun people, planned events, active single people more

Great fun!!! 5/19/2008

with 30+ events per month, and fully 1/2 of them being included free in the membership, Events and Adventures is the best way to make new friends and to possibly meet a potential date in Dallas :) Where else could I find tons of active professional people to do fun things with? Plus their Event Coordinator is amazing!!! I went to a Cowboys game, and I went to the Wine Bottling event with them, and had an absolute blast on both events, and saved money on the cost of the tickets through the club. Not only is it the best entertainment value in Dallas, I found a great guy to date out of it! I've told all my friends to check this place out -- you will not be sorry! Pros: Great deals!!! Cons: None I could see more

Really glad I joined! 5/19/2008

I must admit I was extremely nervous about doing this. I hate doing things alone and here I was driving to the event ALONE, finding a parking spot ALONE, finding the kayaking place ALONE, and introducing myself to the host ALONE. All the time I was questioning myself ""why"". Lucky for me I went through all of the alone stuff and slowly was introduced to a group of people as they signed in. First, the group was very nice and friendly. Second, I LOVED the kayaking, and can't wait to go again. Greg was fantastic in giving me all kinds of tips while we were waiting in our kayaks, and even shared his story of recently tipping over after being labeled the ""expert"" in the group. Laura, Rick, Tom, Ward, and the others who I am really sorry I can't remember their names were very friendly and shared some of their favorite choices of events and adventures. I will definitely be on the list when the next kayaking adventure is posted. Pros: Great events and fun people Cons: A little more than I expected but worth it more

Hide your credit card, do NOT sign anything until you try it for yourself (but they won't let you). 5/18/2008

This company should be sued. A bunch of scoundrels out to rip you off. Before you are ""allowed"" to sign up, you have to endure a screening process with a one-on-one interview. What a joke. They just want to find out if you can pay the $1600 or sometimes more if they can get it, plus monthly fees. The concept seemed good, but they do NOT have quality members like they claim. I expected, professional people with good jobs and a life looking to meet people and socialize and/or date. Once I went to a few ""events"" I was convinced that this was a scam, a rip-off with a no refunds policy. The events, if that's what they call them, consisted of going to anyplace you could go anyway, bars mostly. Hate to be cruel, but a lot of the members were down right ugly losers, unemployed or under employed grunts. It was not a good experience. I went to maybe 15 ""events"" and none of them were actually fun and the members were shy and introverted. I met a few ""new"" members on their first event and they were not happy. If you MUST try this for yourself, negotiate a 3 month ONLY contract, make one payment and do not authorize them to continually charge your credit card. Better yet, ask for a week free trial and you will be shown the door. Sincerely, don't bother with these people, you are better off just hanging out somewhere and introducing yourself to people. Protect yourself, do not allow them access to your credit card. If you try to cancel your payments or your credit card, they will submit your bill to a collection agency and try to ruin your credit. That did not happen to me, but I heard it several times from other ""members"" who had enough. Pros: Seriously, there are no Pros. Cons: Misleading Staff, over controlling unbreakable contract, unattractive members, lies, extra continuing costs, worthless ""events"" I can go on and on more
