Worst

I have frequented this boutique on several occasions and it has always been quite good. However, my last trip to Nespresso was very disappointing. I'm not quite sure what it was.....

A potential 1/26/2012

They really have the potential to hit it big. They just got tweak a few things. First is their attitudes, then the coffee, n then the service.. The I will be willing to give the ma full 5 stars more

good coffee cool space 6/9/2011

This place is very aesthetically pleasing and very modern. I've never paid for a drink here cause I know people, but they are quite expensive--but worth it nonetheless. more

I bought the machine. 4/8/2011

My son took me here to for an afternoon meeting last year, and was going on and on about how the cappucino's were to die for. I looked at the machines they were selling, and recognized themf from Horchow, but the cappucino and espresso is really that good. Afer about returning after 10 times to meet my son and his girlfriend, I actually bought one. It makes the best coffee and cappucino and I really feel this was a good buy. The boutique itself is very upscale and UES styled and the service is pretty good. However, it always seems that it takes forever to get food, and it seems to me that the food is way overpriced, even for the UES standards. I wouldn't recommend it for the food, but if you are looking for a UES type setting with excellent coffee for a meeting with friends or workers, then the setting is good. more

Plaza, Pennisula for coffee - even Starbucks is better 4/29/2010

Nespresso is overrated and old. The crowd is nothing but older ""foreign"" visitors who apparently need their fix from home. Getting past the annoying crowd, the coffee came out barely hot, was so gross and tart! \r Once my friends and I got past the actual poor taste in the coffee and annoying loud chatter of every language but English, I have the service is what finally killed our chances to ever come back.\r AWFUL SERVICE. Wannabe wait-staff who did their best to have manners and service the way the UES expects but this was clearly a bunch of kids just serving coffee...\r Oh well. I like coffee at the Plaza bars and Pennisula soooo much better and am certainly not missing the cool factor skipping on Nespresso either.\r Ciao! Pros: Location Cons: Almost everything more

Sorely Disappointed 5/14/2009

I have frequented this boutique on several occasions and it has always been quite good. However, my last trip to Nespresso was very disappointing. I'm not quite sure what it was... the economic slowdown, cut in staff numbers, dramatic cut in staff quality... The ""hostess"" was incredibly rude and seemed more interested in chatting with her co-workers than helping customers. Not to mention the physical attractiveness of the hostess and some staff have quite obviously been ""downgraded"". I requested a table and she nodded her head without taking down my name. We waited until 1, then 2, then 3 tables cleared and then asked her again if the tables were ready. She replied with a "" oh, you wanted a table... sure go ahead..."" \r If they wish to serve high-end coffee in an upscale boutique, they need to scale the level of service to the same. The management there needs to get a reality check. Turning off your regular customers might not be such a good strategy in this economy... or any economy for that matter. Pros: Coffee Cons: Service has really gone downhill..... more

10 out of 10 for a Coffee Botique 11/12/2007

For poeple who can appreciate the difference! 5/6/2007

... a beautiful Sunday where I had wanted to stop by this gorgeous cafe boutique bar for quite some times. The idea to bring my guests from out of town (Canada) would make it the perfect meeting point.\r \r And sure enough it was. We were all delighted by the space (meaning there is room between the tables), the decor (class), the food (tasty) and of course, the coffee. For the Paris connaisseur, it felt like being next to Le Bon Marche for a second (by the way this is where Nespresso is located in Paris). A great feeling!\r \r Now I can't wait to go again, soon to try something else on the menu. Or even better, buy a Nespresso machine for my new apartment! All and all it is tempting.\r \r Hope you'll appreciate as much as we did. Pros: For people who can appreciate the difference, the finesse Cons: Don't expect big portions more

A place that doesn't meet our expectations 4/19/2007

A bit disappointed. Especially if you frequent upscale places in NYC. If you are looking for delicious coffees that pop in your mouth don't visit Nespresso. Worth trying for the decor, but be prepared to pay too much for only decent food, an unfriendly and slow service. more
