I have always think that since NM is a upscale department store, then the customer service must be great, but i was wrong. I have recently purchased a bag that was worth over $600. they would only accept American Express, Diner Club and Personal Checks...which i didn' t understand why they are doing that. they would've lose alot of customers, not everyone has an american express, diner club or carry a check book with him/her.
The customer service was horrible, the sales girl acted like she is the best because she works there.
Later on, I returned the bag, the sales told me that since it was over $500, they have to mail me the refund check, which was fine by me since he stated that it would only take 3 days! I waited 3 days, I still did not receive the check, so I called the store, the girl on the phone stated that mailing the refund check was an old policy, they don't do that anymore, I suppose to get my full refund at the same time when i returned my bag. ok, since the mail check has been processed, it will take 10-15 days, NOT 3 days! so at that time, I felt mislead by the sales, apparently, the internal communcation isn't as great. So i waited longer...i still didnt receive my refund check, then I have contacted the Corporate to file a complaint against the sales, he apprently has informed tme he incorrect information. After this horrible experience, I will never shop at Neiman Marcus again! it is not Recommended! Do not shop at Neiman Marcus!
