I am surprised at the good reviews for this restaurant, and maybe my taste buds work differently. Having traveled all across the US and eaten at 50 to 100 Indian restaurants across the US, not to mention good at Indian cooking myself, in my opinion, this is a below average Indian restaurant. The positives are that the service is good and the location is good if you want to eat something in the downtown area. However, the negatives far outweigh the positives. The atmosphere is dull and dreary, and the restaurant is dark, but not in a romantic way. The prices are high for the food served. However, the key issue is the food itself. It is average at best - the two dishes were ordered, a coconut curry dish and a vegetable mango curry dish were too runny and had vegetables not well suited for Indian food or at least for those dishes. I really wanted to like this restaurant because we wanted to have a place to eat when we went to the downtown area, but it will not be Nawab. In fairness, I can only speak for the vegetarian dishes.
Pros: Good service, downtown location
Cons: Below average food, pricey, oldish atmosphere
