Despite the "childbirth" in the name of her clinic, Karen Fong is the best chiropractor I've found in Portland. In addition to chiropractic, Karen is trained in acupuncture which she will do during the same visit if you are interested. Although I'm generally skeptical of chiropractors, Karen is the real deal and has helped immensely with my back pain. She has a very busy practice and it can be hard to get in to see her. If you are in pain, make sure you let her office know that and they will put you on a cancellations list or Karen sometimes will stay late. Karen is very concerned about the environment and offers a discount if you come by public transit. She has also taught relaxation classes at Portland Community College. Karen is a very caring and competent practitioner and highly recommended for back, spine, neck, or soft-tissue injuries. more

While not personally a patient of the Natural Childbirth clinic, a close friend of mine is and she has found the experience there to be excellent. Even on a limited income (stay at home mom) and with insurance not providing coverage, she continued to make the appointments and cover the expense herself. In her opinion the quality of natural care this clinic offered was worth the additional expenses. In particular, she appreciated the whole body natural approach to family medicine particularly during childbirth and for her young children. more
