Bad Service, okay pedicure, VERY PUSHY! 7/24/2008

I went in to get a mani pedi. Sign said $20, but like someone else said, you have to pay more to sit in the chair. The pedicure was fine, had to pay $5 extra to have my heel pumiced, I don't have rough heels, and this is usually included in a pedicure! Also, the $5 extra for the french which I expected . The girl doing my manicure drove me nuts. Not only did she pretend to not speak good english, but she was extremely pushy. She kept trying to get me to get a neck massage, then pretended to not understand my "no thank you", then tried to get me to add on extra massage time to my manicure, "no thank you, I'd just like the normal manicure/pedicure", then tried to get me to do a french manicure on my hands also, "no thank you, I just want this color that I picked".... Then she seemed irritated. Didn't even look at my hands when pushing the cuticles back. Made me stretch my arm over to her, instead of going around and doing my other hand. This was not a relaxing experience at all. Then, she had me pay up right in the middle of the service, I guess so my wet nails wouldn't get messed up. I was so irritated at this point, from being pulled on and her being so pushy, that I didn't tip very well. My pedicure was decent, should have given her the whole tip, but she tried to get me to pay for a longer foot massage too! I think I'm ready to pay the extra $$ for a nice, relaxing experience. Pros: decent looking french pedicure Cons: pushy, not relaxing,.... more

WORST service 3/26/2008

Worst service I have ever gotten at a nail salon. Living in LA, I've been to many different salons and this is all the way at the bottom. I got gel on my nails and it chipped after a few hours. Everyone there has the worst attitude and treat you with no respect. I called back to have it redone and when i went in they refused to re-do my gel. And their prices aren't even good. Definitely not recommended. I am never going back here because I went in twice and got the same disrespectful, cheap service. Waste of time and money. Pros: by the promenade Cons: cheap cheap cheap!! more

Great nail salon 10/25/2007

I popped in today for a polish change at lunch. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. They did a perfect job. Salon is clean and efficient. Staff is friendly. I will definitely go back! And the polish change was only $6. A great deal! (I checked out the price list for future reference ... manicure is $14. Pedicure / manicure combo was $32.) more

Don't go there 6/25/2007

The staff is not the best, they always try to make you buy more services of what you ask. Pirices are not the lowest, but not even that high. They're very busy and rush you a lot, plus it took forever to get my nails done because the lady kept walking away and talking on the phone while working. It took me about 2 hours for a regular refill and wax when it normally doesn't take more than an hour. The wax was not well done at all. In fact, I got the same results that I would have gotten from a razor and my eyebrows were too thin and uneven. It took me 2 months to fix my eyebrows! They're good for nails (if you have lots of time to waste), but they are not professionally trained to wax at all. Pros: Good manicures/nail care Cons: bad waxing, time wasting, rude staff, pressure to buy more

Go elsewhere 4/9/2007

Terrible, but what did I expect from a nail salon in the mall. The price was right v- $22 for regular mani pedi and $15 for eyebrow threading, but the job done was awful. The pedicure was fine - had to pay $10 extra if you wanted to sit in the chair which I thought was a ripoff, but the manicure and eyebrow threading were subpar. I was made to sit for the pedicure and twist for the manicure at the same time - really uncomfortable. The manicurist skimped on the polish - which was old - and it all bubbled and chipped the next day. The eyebrow threading, which the manicurist insisted I needed, was so poorly done I had to take the tweezers and clean it up myself for the next 15 minutes. What a waste of money. If I had spent $10 more at another place it would have been well worth it. I wouldn't go back. Pros: Cheap Cons: Really bad manicure and eyebrow threading more
