Terrific Authentic Japanese 9/16/2008

I have eaten in a lot of real Japanese and ""american japanese"" restaurants. If you want traditional, fresh, good quality sashimi, sushi, ininwa udon, this is an excellent place to go. Pros: Excellent Food Cons: No americanize japanese rolls more

Not impressed :( 10/5/2006

For the price we paid for dinner.. $275 for a party of 2, we were hoping for some really good food. However, the sushi / sashimi wasn't very fresh and the pieces were tiny. The sesame tofu was alright but I wouldnt get the squid marinated in salt ever again. It was very very fishy.. The egg custard with veggie was good but there was fish in it.. I thought it was veggie not fish...hmm? The waitress was very nice even though her English was a little hard to understand. The flouresent lighting wasn't as bad as the other reviews claimed. I like the roomy seating arrangements and the decor was alright. All things aside, I don't mind paying top dollars for great food, mediocre service and decor but this place just doesn't cut it for me. Pros: Great service, has the "Japanese" feel Cons: Sushi not fresh and pieces were tiny. more

Please get rid of the fluorescent lights 11/7/2003

Why are there fluorescent lights in this restaurant? I expect to see fluorescent lights in a college cafeteria, not in a $100 a person restaurant. The food is very good, but those lights must go. What were you thinking? With some nice lighting, this restaurant could be romantic. Pros: Great kaiseki meal, Tables are far apart Cons: Lighting is terrible, No windows more
