I have been to several spas in the Monmouth County area, and I have to say, Mysha is the absolute worst. The staff is unfriendly and snobbish. The products they use are inferior. The hairstylists, although they claim to have been doing this for years, seem amateruish and inexperienced. I won't go into details, but let's just say, people have asked me if a) my hair color was a gag, b) I tried to do this by myself, c) I actually paid for this mess, and if d) I was actually going out in public like this. So needless to say, after 2 trips there (the second was to try to rectify the first mistake - oops, bigger mistake; and BTW yes, they charged me the second time) I still need to find someone else to fix my hair. more

I had my hair styled and colored the last week of November. The stylist stabbed me in the back of the neck 4 times. She blamed this on the scissors. As I had had my hair colored before and had it fade after 6 weeks, I asked her how long this color would last. She said, "don't worry. this will last". To me (and everyone I've told this story to) that meant longer than 6 weeks. Well, 3 weeks later, my hair's faded. I called Mysha and they accommodate me and have me come in the same day. The stylist (Leigh) says it shouldn't have faded so soon, and that it was probably her fault since she was new tot he salon and unfamiliar with the products. She said she would fix it, use a different product, and have them "do something for" me as far as cost. Well, she puts what turned into Christmas ornament red in, and charges me $30 and asks me if I want her to "blow dry it or what?" I said forget it since she'd probably charge me for that too. the manager asked to talk to me because she wanted me "to be happy". I told her that wasn't going to happen, so just let me pay and get out. She charged me $50! And she blamed ME for using Pantene, which I didn't use! I used the shampoo for color-treated red hair just like Leigh told me. How dare they blame the customer for what is clearly their fault? and how dare they charge me for fixing their mess? and oh BTW, it's been a little over 2 week, and the color is almost all gone. NEVER NEVER GO TO MYSHA more

This Hidden gem has received more accolades then most so called "world class" destination spa. No kidding. They have been written up in Departures magazine for their pedicures. They have also been listed as one of the top 5 spa in the world by Beauty Magazine. I have been a client since they opened. The owners are warm and friendly. The Management & front desk staff is organized courteous and always welcoming and professional. All the technicians are highly skilled, especially the skin care department. You can expect the best facial you ever had! Same too with any of their massage therapist. The nail techs are all excellent, the pedicures are second to none. And, the Hair and Make-Up studio (which are isolated so as not to ruin the tranquility of the spa) is amazing. The stylist are not your run of the mill locals, these are very talented "hair color & cut designers" They are usually booked out a week in advance though thats my one tip.... more
