This museum is located way up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on a beautiful block by the park. You can take a lunch up to the park to enjoy and then head over for a few hours at this delightful museum.
The museum rotates exhibits. When I was there, there was a faces of New York photography exhibit, showing photos over the past century of famous and not famous people in different phases of the city's history. There was also an exhibit of Broadway costumes that was amazing.
The store is not to be missed with its wonderful selection of books, jewelry, scarves, postcards and other New York themed items that are tasteful for collectors, not cheesy souvenirs.
