BEWARE! 1/20/2012

This is really the worst cleaner have ever used. After ruining my clothes, they denied everything and were just horrible. They did not take any responsibility.I was born and raised here and never had the experience of such bad cleaners. Besides ruining the clothes, they lied and acted like thugs. This is such a affront to the American consumer. If you read the review before me you will see that this is their usual behavior. If you like your clothes,Shay away. more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS DRY CLEANER! 12/7/2011

I have used Ms. Buffy's for more than two years now and you would think I would be treated better because of that. If I could give them a negative rating on the scale, I would.\r \r I recently sent a very expensive dress to be cleaned and it has been ruined. It is now unwearable. I have only worn this dress one time previously. They cleaned it with no problems the first time, so I felt relatively comfortable sending it to them to clean again. The next day, Jason, who works there, called me to tell me that they had damaged the dress. They had torn the bottom of the dress and it would require redoing the entire dress. Two options were given to me: either they would redo the dress themselves with a fabric that was a different color or they would give me 60% of the purchase price since it was as he said ""last season"". I told them that I did not want them to redo the dress as it was a Max Mara dress and I was extremely wary of anyone other than someone from Max Mara fixing the dress. I would prefer if they bought me a new dress or compensate me for the dress at a fair price (far more than 60%) given that I've only worn it once.\r \r Given that Max Mara doesn't carry this dress anymore, I was willing to be compensated for the original purchase price or something close to it. They refused. For the last month or so, they have lied to me about contacting Max Mara to restore the dress (it turns out they tried to restore it themselves which I only found out after calling the Max Mara store), they have lied about how much they paid to restore it (they claimed they paid $700 to get a third party to restore it from the ""Max Mara restoration department at Bloomingdales""...btw, no such dept exists and after asking them to see the receipt for the alleged $700 charge, they refused claiming that the receipt was for their records only and then finally confessed that they tried to restore it themselves), and now the dress is unwearable because of their alterations (too small and too short) and the dress is a different color, the original belt has been cut and altered (also fastened to the dress in a way that no one can get into it) and also doesn't match to the new material.\r \r Oh, and btw, dry cleaners have insurance for this type of situation....makes you wonder why they are so against compensating you for their mistake. They even admitted that someone had spilled alcohol on it which was the reason for the damage.\r \r If this is the way a previously regular loyal customer is treated, I'm scared to think how they treat others when they damage their property. more
