Motel 6

This is one of the dirtiest place I have ever visited. Not only was our room infested with cockroaches (these are no beetles) but it was also plain dirty. Unfortunately, we reached late and had a dog so we could not go anywhere else, but you can! We had to leave a light on to avoid major bug attacks and I spent most of my night killing bugs and hiding under a sheet. The hotel staff tried to help by giving us roach killer but there was not much else they could do. Consider yourself warned! Management ended up giving us a refund after I told them about our experience. more

My family and I stayed at this motel 6 in July 2005, the price was right, and it's situated on the main strip onto the island. I didn't expect luxury here, as it is a discount motel, but arriving to find big roaches was not a good first impression, was later informed that they are actually beetles, (still bugs to me) Then returning to the room shortly after leaving, I found that someone had been using my personal body lotion (apparently by the maid, who had just left our room) safely assuming, as I could smell it when I entered the room, and the bottle was still wet from her hands, I immediately went to the front desk to complain, the woman at the desk acted as if I was making it out to be more than it should have been, and yes, it was only lotion, but if she didn't have permission to use that, what else had she helped herself to? ( I later found that a smaller bottle of the same lotion was missing)They said they would address it, but who really knows if they did, needless to say, nobo more

This place is a joke! We visited one year during the fourth of July, a room was like 100+ bucks! Then during our stay we were cooped up in the very back of the parking lot, and then to make things worse, there were dead roaches in our room. I immediately went to the front desk and told them of the situation, and they said they weren't roaches, they were Palmetto Beetles and that if I put a towel under the door on the inside it would keep them out! I was stunned! Then to top things off after we came back one afternoon from the beach and was going to shower and change, we arrived to our room to find that someone had broken into our room and stole most of our belongings! Come to find out it was the motels house cleaning staff, that came in to clean our room and they rummaged through our stuff and stole just about everything except the toothbrushes! We filed a police report! BEWARE OF THIS DUMP!!!! THEY MAKE IT SOUND GOOD ONLINE! PROS: NONE CONS: EVERYTHING more
