In my case I was a new homeowner and the summer was about to begin so I decided I wanted to get my AC checked so I wouldn't have any surprises this summer. I received a flyer for Morrow Mechanical and thought it was a great deal. I could get a tune up and also make sure my AC was going to be dependable for the hot weather ahead. The guy came out, took about ten minutes walking outside and then up into the attic. He sat me down and said my coil was leaking and I needed to get it replaced but, unfortunately, I would need to get a new condenser as well because I had the old frion. Before I made a big purchase like that I decided to get a second opinion and after a few inquiries I came up with another gentleman who also deals with a small, family run company. He actually spent about an hour with me. He walked me outside and showed me that, yes, my frion was low. So he filled it up to the capacity and went up into the attic to watch for a leak. He found no leak whatsoever. He spoke with me for about 10 minutes and then we both walked outside again and, sure enough, the frion was still at the same level as when he filled it up so none had leaked out. In the end, nothing was wrong and I saved myself a huge AC purchase by getting a second opinion. I'm not saying that Morrow Mechanical let out the frion or that they were deliberately trying to get me to buy something from them. But I am saying that if the guy who came out the first time had taken the time with me like that the guy out the second time this would not have happened. I am never giving Morrow Mechanical my business again because one of two things happened that day. 1. He was trying to take advantage and lied to me. or 2. He didn't do his job and evaluate the situation well enough. The summer is over and I had absolutely no problems keeping cool those hot months.
