I really like this place. I always feel like the service is good. Of course the time you go can make a difference in the service, just like anywhere. I still like the food and I'm...

I can't believe this place was voted as having descent margaritas. They are bad. Very bad. Very Watery.

Very expensive for such a poor quality 3/28/2012

Very expensive for such a poor quality of product. Ordered three different burritos to go, each cost $13.95. the chips were better than the burrito. the green chili must have come out of a can, I could not eat the watery contents. would never eat there again. highway robbery more

Relaxed small town restaurant 8/31/2011

My wife and I like stopping in a few times a year. We think the food is pretty good, prices are not to expensive. Staff is friendly service is pretty good to. No complaints from us. Jeff and Beth. more

Different now... 2/23/2011

Food and beer has become more expensive. Our bill was outrageous for what we got. My entree was dissapointing - same choice use to be good there. Wait staff is now a little too eager and bubbly as if it was their first day. All windows announce that they are hiring. I wonder if something happened - new management? new owner? I will not go back. more

I like it! 12/28/2010

I really like this place. I always feel like the service is good. Of course the time you go can make a difference in the service, just like anywhere. I still like the food and I'm not hung up on the prices. The atmosphere is cool. And I've had some good buzzes off the Margaritas. I do love the town of Morrison and that probably also influences my feelings, but I still say it's a go. more

Gone here for years 12/17/2010

We've been going here for years and the service has gone down continuously. The food is still good but quite expensive now. The last time we were there our server completely disappeared after taking our drink order. About twenty minutes later we stopped an employee and he said he'd send our server over. A different server came this time and still everything was chaotic. We had ordered queso and chips which came 5 minutes after our meal was served. Oh, and we had to ask for our check twice. The service was so bad, we actually found it quite humorous. People around us were experiencing the same type of mishaps. I don't know what has happened to the management there, but they seriously need to do some training. Sadly, we'll probably go back again, the next time we need a good laugh. more

Too pricey 9/26/2010

The food is OK and the atmosphere is fun but this place has really hiked its prices. $8 for guacamole or $11 for the entree of 3 tacos?! Nearly every entree runs between $10-12. Too expensive. more

Unhappy Restaurant Experience 1/2/2010

It is hard to put my finger on it, but I will try. The food was good, the entertainment was enjoyable, the view was great, however, I was not comfortable at this restaurant. The service was the worst I have ever seen. I regret that I did not leave when I first noticed this. So here I am trying to explain to others how uncomfortable you can feel at a restaurant. Pros: One good thing - It was a sunny day. Cons: BAD Service, BAD Karma more

Chili Rellienos used to be good but not longer 7/12/2009

For over 20 years whenever I am in town I always go to the Morrison Inn because of the wonderful Chili Rellienos but I haven't been there in a number of years but I took a group for dinner. I ordered the Chili Rellieno as always and they are now wrapped in an eggroll wrapper which is not bad except there are no poblanos and it is only filled with cheese. I would never order those again or ever recommend them to anyone else. The other food is good. The other folks in my party were very disappointed with them as well. Pros: Good service and great margaritas but Cons: Chlli Rellienos are not very good more

Oh my, if only they express mailed this stuff to you! 7/1/2009

The MUST get the queso with the chips they bring to their table. Chili Rellenos, this was my biggest craving during my pregnancies, they are SO GOOD. Pros: Simply the best Mexican food I have ever had. Cons: They are in Colorado....I am not. more

Best Margarita in Town 7/14/2008

Margarita's is the best here, this 5 star is just for margarita, Food is a 2.5 stars, if you don't have to eat it - dont or your hungry i would eat. But the food basically like opening canned food warming it up and serving it. Staff is nice, and courteous 4.5 stars. Like I said after a long hard day, and if you can eat like at the fort, do so but to end the day with a blast, stop on by here for a picher of the best tasting margaritas in town!!! The bad thing is you don't taste the alcohol but one pitcher later, your feeling great!!! Warning bring a DD cuz you'll need one. The original one is the best, eventhough they have like 20-30 different kind of flavors. Pros: Margarita!! Best in Town!!! You'll be Crawling out of there if not Careful!! Cons: Food more

Disgusted Diner 7/12/2008

One of the worst dining experiences ever. I have four things to say about the Morrison Inn, terribly unknowledgeable service, and flavorless food, watered down margaritas and horribly overpriced. Absolutely not worth it! more

Ammodium Required Inn 7/1/2008

We have been to Morrison Inn several times and had a good experience each time...but boy has it gone down hill. First we opted to stay inside to dine..bad idea (too noisey and next to the kitchen when they had tons of other seats available) We asked to move up to outside and our waitress gave us a look that could you know what despite our polite apologies. Then we had the most sweet, non-tequilla watered down marg we've ever had for $6!!! Our meal came fast which was nice...but at 4AM that morning it came even faster and non-stop making the next day at work terrible. The worst part of it all...we chose to go there for our 10 year Anniversary after a nice day of hiking without kids...only to end up in the toilet all the next day. We will NOT be back again! Pros: Fast service Cons: Fast through body that night, margs, pay for parking, nasty waitress more

Terrible Dining Experience 6/2/2008

This was over priced, had low quality food, and watery margaritas. I will never go back. Our bill for the margaritas and 2 appetizers was $54. The food wasn't close to worth it and the staff wasn't friendly and helpful. I would never recommend eating here unless watery drinks and over priced food is what you are looking for! more

A Huge Disappointment 2/23/2008

The Morrison Inn was the choice my grandmother made to go on her birthday. I was absolutely appauled of the service we received and the quality of the food. First, our group was stuck in the back room that had no heat. Then I asked the waitress for waters for everyone. She looks at me and responds, ""its gonna be like 20 minutes."" I asked if she was serious, apparently she was. They had run out of dishes...???? Water is a necessity to life and when I am dinning I think it should be no problem to have. I ordered one of the starred items on the menu, ""Juan's Favorites."" I was again disappointed. The inside of my burritto was luke warm. And after it was delivered to me, I didnt see a waitstaff to have heat it up for 20 minutes. I ate my meal in disgust. ALSO, a salad is a side option to an entre, however this ""mexican"" restaurant only had one salad dressing option - cesar. Totally bazaar in my opinion. I will never go back. The food was blah, and overpriced, and I can make better margaritas myself. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Pros: The location- Morrison is great Cons: Pay to park, bad food, low customer value, more

Avoid during fly season 9/16/2007

We have never been so turned off by a restaurant as we were by our visit to The Morrison Inn. Starting at the water glass that came with food on it, to the straw that came with lettuce on it to the last straw of a half a dozen flies flying around our food when it was served. We were eating inside, not on the patio. We were told that we just had to deal with it since it was the season for flies. We packed up our food and left. It was impossible to eat trying to shoo the flies off our dishes. We were barely given an ""I'm sorry"" on our way out. We will not be going back. more

Innovative Mexican-style foods 8/6/2006

I have eaten at the Morrison Inn a number of times, and I love the food. On my last visit (july 2006) I selected ""Roberto's Favorite"" burrito. It's a nice plate of food, with an unusual and savory burrito made with chicken, spinach, artichoke and a wonderful queso sauce... No, it's not really a mexican dish at all. But it sure is delicious, and one of my favorites too. With a nicely limed Corona beer, a great meal. A casual, creaky-floored place with wobbly tables and affordable mexican style food. This is not Pete's Satire, it is not Ophelia's on olde Wadsworth... It's the Morrison Inn... another beloved, quirky, unusual mexican place that really delivers what patrons want. Great food. If you like to whine about watery margaritas, try the house margarita. That's the ticket. People who know; order the top shelf margarita. Macho...Por Favor.... Pros: Unusual, savory mexican style fare. Cons: Parking can be a challenge, especially on show nights at Red Rocks. more

It's just a tourist trap... 6/4/2006

And a bad one at that. The Mexican ""food"" has barely any flavor and the margaritas are sour with very little tequila, assuming there actually is some in the drink. I also have never heard of a burrito having bbq sauce in it!! The only positive thing I can say about the Morrison Inn is that they have a large deck that's open in the summer. more
