Don?t be fooled by how easy the original set up appears to be. This past Aug, we hired them for an in-town move. We believed their statement that other companies charge by the hour but take all day so you would end up paying more. I don't know if that is true. What I do know is they showed up late, even though we told them several times that it was important for them to be on time because we had to go to the closing. After they showed up and we left for the closing, they attempted to move the frig out into the garage, even though it was the absolute last item that they loaded on the truck. In moving it to the garage, they damaged the door frames on both sides and damaged the door handles. They later said they did not know how to remove the handles (Dont they all just pop up and off?) We had left them our cell number but they did not call to ask about the frig door handles. They did not tell us about the issue until after we brought the damaged door frames to their attention. They chipped a glass shelf in my china cabinet and blamed it on me, not to mention other bumps and scratches to all my hardwood furniture. It started poring rain. They left the door wide open to a hard wood floor. I had to close the door and mop 4 times to prevent the floor from warping. They did not meet the projected timeframe, but were 5 hours longer then expected. When we called to start the claim process for the damaged doorframes and walls, we were told that since it was no longer our house, we should not worry about it. They would not respond to further attempts to file a claim. All this happened while we were monitoring them! What would have happened if both of us could not have been there?
Pros: appeared to be organized prior to the move
Cons: late, damaged furniture, damaged house, no resolution proces
