DO NOT USE 6/10/2011

We used Moovers last fall to move from a house that we sold into a condo that we were renting while our new house was being built. They did a great job. I did have to follow up in regards to the claim I filed for damages. I was initially told that it could take 60-90 days. After I told them that I planned to use them again in the spring, they quickly responded to my claim and sent a furniture medic to repair the minor damages. We used them again at the end of April 2011. For this move, they advised us a cheaper option for the move from the condo to the house and then from the POD to the house. We paid less this past time than the first move in November 2010. However, they just sent two people for the move so it took longer. Then, the two guys could not move our executive desk (after we told them that we had some very large and heavy pieces). My husband and father in law had to help them move the desk. One of the movers, picked up the desk by the decorative molding at the bottom and it broke off. Then, they set th entire desk on one foot whick broke off the foot. It is now 45 days out and the desk has not been repaired. We cannot use it because of the broken foot. I have called and emailed every couple of days to get some type of response. I have even threatened to call my credit card company and have the charges we paid for the move reversed. After I did that, they were quick to respond and recommended a furniture medic to come out and make the repairs. I spoke to this furniture medic and he told me that he no longer does business with Moovers because they owe him money for several repair jobs. I have called again today and relayed this information and they are supposed to call me back and give me the name of another medic. At this point, I am doubtful that they will make the repairs and we will probably end up paying out of our pockets. more

A Very Professional Moving Company 3/26/2010

Contacted Moovers via the internet and received a quick response and filled out the questionnaire in order to receive a bid for cost of our move. We were pleasantly surprised with the cost and wondered if there was a catch - well, we were very pleasantly surprised at how professional the team was - 3 men (supervisor also worked right alongside of the other guys) and they were well trained and very efficient. They dismantled the beds and moved heavy appliances, other heavy furniture and drove to our new place. Not only did they set up the beds and connect the appliances, they were very careful with our things and placed them where we wanted them. I would hire this company again anytime and have passed their website on to many friends. This is incredibly hard work that these guys do and all I can say is, ""great job"". Pros: Well trained, professional, polite, efficient, friendly more

This operation is a joke 3/1/2010

I took the day off work and had arranged for child care to make sure my move did not suffer from any distractions. I called Moovers and they gave me a quote and promised me that I have chosen the right guys for the job. To their credit they called and advised that they were running late but assured me my job would be completed that day. After that phone call I tried to stay in touch to get status checks but I never heard from them again. Not only did they not answer my calls, they offered no update on their time and definitely never told me they just plain werent gonna show AT ALL. They did not even answer my calls the next morning. I wish I had read the previous review and I never would have even called to begin with. In a way I guess I am lucky that I didnt use them and have them bangin my furniture around. What does a cow have to do with mving furniture anyways. Moooove out of the way...I need to call Two Guys and a Truck! Pros: Great sales pitch Cons: Got nothing in return more

Don't believe the sales hype 11/13/2009

Don?t be fooled by how easy the original set up appears to be. This past Aug, we hired them for an in-town move. We believed their statement that other companies charge by the hour but take all day so you would end up paying more. I don't know if that is true. What I do know is they showed up late, even though we told them several times that it was important for them to be on time because we had to go to the closing. After they showed up and we left for the closing, they attempted to move the frig out into the garage, even though it was the absolute last item that they loaded on the truck. In moving it to the garage, they damaged the door frames on both sides and damaged the door handles. They later said they did not know how to remove the handles (Dont they all just pop up and off?) We had left them our cell number but they did not call to ask about the frig door handles. They did not tell us about the issue until after we brought the damaged door frames to their attention. They chipped a glass shelf in my china cabinet and blamed it on me, not to mention other bumps and scratches to all my hardwood furniture. It started poring rain. They left the door wide open to a hard wood floor. I had to close the door and mop 4 times to prevent the floor from warping. They did not meet the projected timeframe, but were 5 hours longer then expected. When we called to start the claim process for the damaged doorframes and walls, we were told that since it was no longer our house, we should not worry about it. They would not respond to further attempts to file a claim. All this happened while we were monitoring them! What would have happened if both of us could not have been there? Pros: appeared to be organized prior to the move Cons: late, damaged furniture, damaged house, no resolution proces more
