Best

I love the mini bar in this place. While waiting to be seated we had a couple of cocktails and the bartender helps us so assuring. The food is also great.

Worst

Food was OK, but way overpriced. Most meals contain a red sauce reminiscent of italian pasta sauce, cheap ground beef, and tortillas. Don't eat here unless it is the only option. ...

Good Margaritas 8/28/2005

What could be better than chips and salsa and a frozen margarita!!! Both are awesome at Monterrey. The food is always good and the service is fast and friendly. They have many combination meals so you do not have to get stuck with one thing. Their queso dip is great!! more

There's Better Mexican Elsewhere 7/13/2005

Monterrey Mexican Restaurant is not that great Mexican. The salsa was pretty good, but everything else was a disappointment. The enchilada sauce was very plain. The churros were good, though. Nothing stood out as being that delicious and with so many Mexican restaurants in Charlotte, the best bet is try keep looking. more
