Monster Sushi 6/18/2006

I went with some friends to Monster Sushi a couple of times and while I'm not too fond of sushi myself the restaurant and food was very good. I also like the prices. You can have a very good lunch for under ten dollars. The place can get packed around lunch but in Manhattan that's not too uncommon. more

Shrimp tempura rolls and tiger eye rolls are really good here. At times, the squid is slightly undercooked, so it seems fishy. Ask them to cook it well if you're concerned. The fried shrimp gyoza is very tasty. Quick service, good prices. The tables for 2 are too close together unless you're against the middle partition in the room. Good place to eat. I always go back. more

The sushi portions are ample and the quality is above average. Also, the menu is moderately priced making Monster Sushi a good bargain for above average sushi. The rainbow and monster roll are particularly good. more
