Monroe Farms is a market that sells fresh produce, flowers, dairy items, grocery, seafood and sushi.
The store is clean and well maintained and you can find good to excellent produce here. Some of it is a little pricey compared to the local supermarkets however, if you need those extra large stem on strawberries, then this is the place to buy them. They do carry a limited number of grocery items but only in a pinch would I buy them here.
The fish market carries a wide variety of items from the sea. You can buy whole fish (and have it cleaned) or already filleted. The catch is fresh and plentiful. They also have seasonal specialities like soft shell crab which are a treat.
The sushi bar is quite popular (take-out only) and there is a ready made case of items like california rolls, eel rolls, tempura--or you can ask the resident sushi chef to prepare something to your liking.
