I have been going to this office for years, getting cleanings, sealants, cavity fillings and a mouth guard, and the service has always been great for me. I give particular credit...

Worst

I went to Monarc yesterday for a basic exam. After the x-rays were taken and the gum check they told me I had gum disease. I am 24 and have no insurance. They told me it would be ...

Misdiagnosing, dirty, dated tools 5/6/2011

I went to this office because it was close to where I lived instead of going to my old dentist. I figured a checkup and cleaning wasn't much different between dental offices. Instead I left with a $1200 estimate. This place is very quick to diagnose in my opinion and ignores the bodies natural ability to heal itself. They also do not use the most modern tools.\r \r Timeliness: I waiting around 30mins in the waiting room for my appointment. Both 8:00am and 8:30am (me) were just sitting there. No other patient walked out.\r \r Cleanliness: I was taken to an x-ray room that was quite disgusting. There was a black / storage room in the back with the door open with all sorts of white muck on the floor. The exam room seats seemed like they needed a good scrub and there was all sorts of nasty discoloration on the overhead lamp arm (looked like blood spurts, kinda gross).\r \r Experience: After x-rays i eventually was brought to another room to watch a video on how to floss and brush my teeth, waste more

Rip off..Please don't go to MONARCH DENTAL 8/25/2010

?THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CHARGE YOU UNNECESSARILY i.e. FRAUDELENT CHARGES. WAITING TIME IS ATLEAST ONE HOUR. PLEASE AVOID THIS MONARCH DENTAL IRVING FACILITY AND INFACT PLEASE AVOID ANY MONARCH DENTAL FACILITY?. \r \r If you care to read my lengthy experience, please go ahead and read the next 3 paragraphs otherwise skip it, save your time and find a different facility.\r \r I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Even though I had some bad experiences with online companies and doctors in the past, I never posted a review. But, this time, I feel like I should help others by posting my experience. This is my first review in the past 10 years. So, please take this review seriously.\r \r I went to this facility for regular cleaning. The hygienist checked my teeth and told me that I had gum disease and I needed deep cleaning and he said the doctor would talk to me further about the x-rays that were just taken. So far good. Bad News 5/12/2010

These people are not professiona...to the point of rudeness.\r They do shoddy work and will try to con you into more work\r than necessary on your teeth.\r I honestly don't see how they stay in business as their\r operations remind me of clinics I have seen in Mexico...\r the offices are not even very clean looking. The personal\r can not or will not answer any questions you may have.\r The dentist that I used on numerous occasions has yet\r to tell me his name....I am changing to another dentist.\r Not worthy of even one star. more

Worst Dental Experience of my life 10/15/2009

I went in due to a toothache and spent 3 hrs waiting- the person who took my x-rays was horrible and even forgot to put the xray films on the device they put in your mouth, and I had to get x-rays twice because she didn't put them in right. I was given a referral for a root canal and went to a great endodontist, but had to go back for a crown. When I went back my daughter also went for fillings and we were there for 4 hours and when I had the temp crown done they numbed my mouth, but went away for about an hour and by the time they came back - my mouth wasn't very numb, and I have never experienced that before in my life- I just prayed and made it through, it was painful but I endured. Me and my daughter had an appointment on the same day and they didn't even start her fillings until I was done. The dentist who worked on her teeth wasn't even going to numb her mouth and started to fill her teeth, until she cried out and they acted like they didn't even want to do it- well, an hour later after leaving a few times and coming back, like they did with me, finally we were done. I verified with my insurance before going there that it would cost approximately $320 dollars for my crown and $120 for my daughter, I ended up paying almost $800 and questioned them because I was told a different price form my insurance plan and was told that the crown is $1200 and they are giving me a discount - some crap like that. Well, I have to go back tomorrow to get the permanent crown and I am so dreading it, like I never have before. I already payed, so I am going to get it done. I already complained to my insurance company and have picked out another dentist and made sure they had absolutely no connection with Monarch or their Smile spa, are in any other way. The place was dirty and smelled and the hygienist was wearing dirty stained up clothes. I am really praying for my visit tomorrow- please keep me in your prayers. I cannot even rate a zero - I was forced to rate one star- so please don't take that as a vote in any shape or form. Cons: Dirty, rundown, incompetent more

They suck 4/6/2009

We went for routine stuff, they are in network, so I thought no problem. We paid what they asked, even though it seemed high. It was $500.00 tooooo much!!! I'm still fighting with them for the money. They are just sooo busy.. more

My experience has been very good. 9/17/2008

I have been going to this office for years, getting cleanings, sealants, cavity fillings and a mouth guard, and the service has always been great for me. I give particular credit to Natasza for helping me to turn my dental health around. Most other offices just would just do the standard cleaning, but Natasza gave me a no-nonsense evaluation of my initially very poor periodontal health and the implications of it. She also clearly explained what I needed to do, and how to do it. This far exceeds anything that I have received at any other office. For anyone who wants a true assessment of their teeth and gums with effective action plans, this is a place to find these things. more

Do Not Risk It!!! 8/22/2008

I went to Monarch for replacement crowns. They recommended that I get 2 replaced and then informed me of the fact that I needed two more. I should have gotten a second opinion! The service was horrible and they performed them at the same time, which according to my new dentist was a bad idea. I have since had to have 3 out of the four replaced because of the poor application procedures when first done and I have had to also undergo crown lengthening on all three. If you're considering this place...run fast!!! more

Worst I've ever experienced 2/20/2008

Horrible experience. Lots of waiting. Inept employees. On my first visit they took xrays. Then they wanted me to do $6.000 in dental work. Rediculous. I've been regularly going to a dentist for 40 years and I've never had an experience this bad. Pros: Conventient Cons: Terrible service. Wanted to gouge me with overpiced dental work more
