I love Monaco Bay! It is a fun and different environment from what I am use to. Usually when I go out to a bar it is just a normal bar, but Monaco Bay is different because it is a Piano Bar. It has a very fun and different environment. They play a wide variety of music, and they are great at it! You can request songs for a dollar. The bar has a small dance floor which often gets filled up with people who are dancing on it! The lighting and seating in this bar is great - it all adds to the fun environment of this bar! If it is your birthday and they find out then will call you up to the stage and a little song for you - and trust me this can be embarrassing but hilarious! its a great bar and I strongly recommend it! more

Monaco Bay 3/19/2006

This is a great piano bar downtown Kalamazoo. Has a nice cozy feel to it with the old-style brick on the inside. Very modern as well. They have a clean version of piano dueling before 9:00 p.m, and then after 9:00 p.m. the 'dirty" version starts. If you want them to play anything you request, you need to put money with your request sheet, or else they most likely won't play it. Fun place to go with friends. more
