We ate here last weekend. Its a small restaurant and was full on a friday night with some Japanese people eating dinner, which makes one think that you have finally stumbled on an authentic Japanese place; alas,no such luck! The waiter was rude ( to our bad luck we got the young one who needs a crash course on waiting tables and not the owner who is much more pleasant). The miso soup was salty; the waiter forgot to bring our appetizer and was completly unapologetic about it. The sushi itself tasted very mediocre with a cloyingly sweet sauce to mask the fish. And as suspected, the fish was not very fresh considering the number of trips me and my family have had to make to the bathrooms over the weekend. Also, the sushi was not inexpensive-better prices ( and taste) in Sushi Thai and Thai spices. We will not return. And I suggest you don't visit unless ambience, attitude, taste and quality are immaterial! more

Momo-yummy 9/25/2010

I've eaten here a couple times, and each time it's been a delight. Recently they have a new special lobster roll which is absolutely FANTASTIC and I totally recommend it. The Momoyama roll is also delicious, fresh, with a lot of flavor. i'm a big fan of sushi, and although they don't do the typical ""buy one get one free roll"", there's plenty of fish in each roll, a lot of great appetizers (I highly recommend the fried octopus and oysters, omggg), and a wide variety of japanese dishes to choose from, which is very different from other sushi places around the area, which focus on what they think is ""asian"" style food. Definitely momo-yummy~ more

Disappointing. 8/22/2010

I really wanted to love this place. I had high expectations from the Japanese publications at the front, J-pop playing and the menu in Japanese. Everything I ordered was just a little off. For example, I ordered hiyayakko (cold tofu), and it came with the sweet sauce for agedashi and tempura, not soy sauce. It was lacking the usual condiments like grated ginger and bonito flakes. The other dish I ordered was too salty I couldn't finish it. The food simply did not taste good, so I won't be going back. Big disappointment. more
