Mojo Music is a fantastic local music store in the Vail Valley trying to target the niche of live musicians in the valley. It is really nice to see the transition from CD sales to...

Worst

I think they may be going more with instrument sales than CD's Pros: They tried to help Cons: Needed CD's for gifts, but they had to order them

Great selection of music and musical instruments! 6/4/2010

As someone who's relatively new to the area I was looking for places to get music and gear and a friend referred me to the only two stores up here. After reading the reviews/comments of both Mojo Music and Eagle Valley Music I was pretty unsure as to the validity of the reviews as they seemed pretty skewed, so I decided to go to both places and find out for myself. After visiting both businesses it appears that Mojo Music has been the victim of an unfounded smear campaign, which is unfortunate. I found the place to be pretty cool, with a good selection of music as well as musical instruments. It was great to see someone catering to musicians in the valley as its pretty rough driving to Denver for music stuff. Some of reviews I read said the staff was unfriendly and un-knowledgeable, a claim I can't agree with at all! The owner was a cool guy, super friendly and who is also a drummer in a local band. I would definitely recommend Mojo Music to anyone who is living/traveling through the area and wants to pick up some good tunes or grab a guitar. Pros: Musical instruments, friendly staff, good selection of tunes more

Friendly, but really limited music selection. 6/1/2010

Mojo Music...keepin it real and local 5/13/2010

Mojo Music is a fantastic local music store in the Vail Valley trying to target the niche of live musicians in the valley. It is really nice to see the transition from CD sales to promoting live music and supplying artists with all types of instruments. And if they don't have the instrument you want, they will order it for you. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable of numerous genres of music. If they don't know about the music you're into, they are more than happy to learn more about it and special order for you. Anyone who thinks that they're not friendly or knowledgable has obviously never lived on the East coast! Keep up the good work Mojo! Pros: AWESOME staff, great selection of instruments more

Killer Mojo!!! 1/29/2010

Lots of resources, music, music insturments! Friendly helpful staff. See who is playing around town and find places to go. Pros: Have anything you want to listen to and music stuff, etc. Cons: There's only one store! more

I'm not a liar! 8/13/2009

Bought a CD, opened it in the car, was empty, tried to return it, said I was a liar. Liar? REALLY? Why does this shop even sell CD's...really? WHY!!!!! Cons: said I took the CD when the case was empty more

WORSE the 2nd time 7/28/2009

I asked for a number of CD's and wanted to buy all of them. They hadn't heard of any of the groups. Went to another local store that had them in stock and much cheaper than comparable cd's mojo had. Get a job you know someting about. Cons: Read a Rolling Stone if u know nothing about music! more

Cd's marked up, not a clue about what's hot 7/19/2009

I wanted to order something they didn't have and was told ""we'll get it when we get it"". WTH does that mean? The man & woman in the store argued the whole 5 minutes I was there. Do you mind? Wait until I leave......the eavesdropping wasn't even amusing, like about groceries or something. bleych Cons: $8 for a used cd that's 6.99 on amazon more

Friendly, but a poor selection of CD's & over-priced 7/19/2009

This isn't the place to go for CD's or vinyl....clearly. Congenial enough, but hadn't heard of any of the CD's I asked for. I checked and they had them at Wal-Mart a few blocks away, but decided to go to the store in West Vail by The Sandbar since I prefer to support locals. They had 3 of the 4 CD's I wanted, and were $2 or $3 cheaper on each one. Go there instead. Mojo is good for musical supplies, to be fair, but they need to work on their music selection. Pros: Friendly Cons: Everything I asked for had to be ordered more

Great new owners for the Vail Area's musicians' store! 8/10/2008

We travel the world playing concerts and found ourselves in Vail with some last minute equipment needs. Shawn and Jeanette, the new owners of Mojo Music, were incredibly kind and helpful. They really came to our rescue with unexpected generosity. We only wish them the very best and highly recommend Mojo Music, with their expanded lines of instruments, music and accessories. Any previous negative comments about customer service certainly do not apply to the wonderful new owners, with their friendly Irish hospitality. Check them out! Pros: Selection, price, ambience, and GREAT Customer Service! Cons: None. more

For a small independent music store trying to make it in this cut throat industry Mojo Music in Vail Avon Rules!! 12/30/2006

With only two choices of retail music stores in Vail / Avon Mojo is much better than the other. You can shop around without haveing to ask where everything is. They have a good selection of whats new and selling. The store is easy to find and located in the heart of the Vail Valley. I've been going there for years and I've got no problem with the service. Pros: Great Location and selection more

Bad attitude, lousy selection 10/27/2006

Poor selection, unknowledgable staff, rude, expensive. Apparently didn't want my money as I was asked to hurry up and make my purchases since they wanted to close early to go to a Widespread Panic show. Avoid. Pros: Close if you live in Avon Cons: where do I begin? more
