Best

First time to the big city, and I was wary of ""rude new yorkers""- everyone there from the host to the bus boy was SO friendly! I even felt comfortable enough to pull out my map....

Worst

My group and I had a reservation for our holiday luncheon. Checked out space in advance, called to make request then called again to confirm. When we arrived it was a totally diff...

Great lunch spot, excellent desert! 11/29/2007

Salads were varied and good, and great choice of teas. The chocolate desert was incredible! Will definitely be going back soon! Pros: Food, atmosphere more

Fabulous service and great tilapia 11/13/2007

The best tilapia dish I've had in all of manhattan. Great customer service and immediate seating and was courteous to us eventhough 5 of my original 10 reservations never showed up. The restaurant is only 1 block away from the subway, accessible by all trains to downtown. Decor is fab with 3 Large screens showing Charlie's Angel 2 when I was there. They however would not accomodate me for not bringing the 15% discount coupon. So remember to print it out before going. Pros: Food/ service/ noise level tempered/ great for all types of gatherings Cons: Not great for romantic dinner more

Best Music Ever 11/7/2007

2nd time at Mocca , Had a great time music was great food was perfect and drinks out of this place. Cool place for girls night out or for a date. Pros: Parking , Service more

There is no other place like this within miles! 11/5/2007

People - this place is one of a kind. Great atmosphere, great service, AMAZING food. I go there for lunch almost every day (I have withdrawal systems when I can't get there sometimes... :-) --- A great blend of European and Middle Eastern cuisine. Wait staff is always friendly, Managers come by and ask how things are, music is always so perfectly picked - and the coffee - WOW. I have recently returned from a trip to Europe and noticed that Segafredo is almost like their version of Starbucks (only SO MUCH BETTER) and was pleasantly surprised to see that Mocca now serves SEGAFREDO Coffee - now my favorite place for coffee serves my favorite brand of coffee.... life is great now! Pros: Thumbs Up for Mocca! more

place to be seen 10/16/2007

I Was thrilled to come in after hearing about this place through a couple of friends. I came in and was greeted by a might say a very goodlooking male waiter who's name i think was Sosa. He sat us down and took our orders and was so helpful with everything. He even made some great suggestions and made our experience a mocca lounge great!!!. Great food Great people Great staff!!! All around great place to eat out with friends, alone or even with the kids. more

worst food and dinning experience in NYC 10/6/2007

The worst food and cup of coffee I have ever had in my entire life !! Cons: customer service and good more

Too expensive for what it is 10/2/2007

I only had a greek salad and an iced tea, but I thought it was very over priced for what it was. I could have eated at a slightly nicer restaurant for the same price. I felt like I was a burden to the waitress and was a bit grosses out watching the guy who brought the food out from the kichten pick at a scab on his head. more

Awesome ambiance, great food and good times 5/1/2007

I planned a holiday party for my office and the service was fantastic. We had a 2 or 3 hour open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres. Everyone had fun with the great music and my coworker's wife mentioned that it was the most fun holiday party she had been to. The hors d'oeurves were great and the drinks were good too. The place transforms from a lunch spot to a great night time hang out. I highly recommend Mocca. Pros: great service, ambiance and music, 1 block from subway more

Nice mediterranian appetizers, good drinks 4/2/2007

the place is small but its very cozy and decor is pretty cool. the mediterranian appetizers are great, the food is ok and the drinks are really good. i have tried alcoholic beverages and they were really nice and i cant wait to try coffee drinks. Pros: good tribeca location, good appetizers, nice decor Cons: service could be friendlier more

Best Coffe Anywhere 2/15/2007

The coffe is outragious. Each coffe has a leaf design on it, I go evry morming on my way to work, and I eventully noticed they even did it in my to go cup, and it tastes as good as it looks. Lunch there is delicious, quick and resonable. And after work, they have amazing cocktails. It's a great place all times of the day. However it gets loud on friday and saturday whenit turns into a lounge. Not my cup of tea, but someone a bit more trendy may enjoy it. more

Wonderful lounge to relax after work 12/22/2005

I went to Mocca with my boyfriend for a few drinks and food, and I was really impressed by the service. We didn't like the first seat because the table was vibrating (?), and the waitress quickly agreed. The second table was even nicer, in a romantic little corner. We ordered falafel and the avocade pesto sandwich. Falafels were decent (slightly overpriced), but the sandwich was amazing. I just wish they have more vegetarian offering and bigger portioned nibblers. We ordered several fruit cocktails, all were wonderful and refreshing, and I really like the strawberry coco and banana drink. A bit pricey, but wonderful atmosphere. Pros: Layback ambience, good service, cocktails Cons: somewhat pricey more

What a wonderful place!!! 1/9/2005

Mocca Lounge is my favorite place- for hot chocolate, a drink, or when i'd like to grab something to eat. Their sandwiches are exquisite- something that cannot be found anywhere else, and the place was designed in great taste. What i like about this place is that it changes atmosphere- it's nice to sit there for a cup of coffee or to eat there during the day beacuse the service is fast and the food is very good... but it's even nicer to meet there with friends in the evening because the place transforms completely- the music is different, the lights are dimmed, and you can actually enjoy the ambient atmosphere and the great bar any night of the week! In short- Mocca is now officially my favorite place! (and i am usually very picky about new places...) Pros: great music, karaoke nights, excellent food more

The World needs ALOT MORE of MOCCA! 1/6/2005

Mocca just keeps getting better...food,desserts, coffee, outrageous hot chocolates, cocktails, relaxing, comfortable atmospere, karaoke nights (one night I swear Elvis was in the room), the place is just awesome. Always served and greeted with friendly smiles day or night, dining amongst a really cool and fun clientele. Priced right too! Pros: great atmosphere, friendly service, great food & drinks Cons: , none, none more

Great decor 10/30/2004

I get my coffee there and muffin every morning. Good stuff. They also have some good pastries, Chocolate Croissants (or pain au chocolat). Best thing about it is the design, red banquettes and glass table...one of the few options for coffee/cappucinos in the neighborhoods, aside from Starbucks. more

All the Right Moves! 9/23/2004

With its stylishly amicable environment and delightful array of drinks, Mocca serves as not only a hot spot to grab a cup of joe, but also as a relaxingly place to sit and chat. The brightly colored walls and modestly upbeat music set the ideal atmosphere for a pleasant after-work mixer. Moreover, the staff at Mocca is sincerely charming and outright welcoming. Without reservations anyone can enjoy this lounge, and it is without reservation that I recommend it to you. Pros: Food & Drinks, Value, Service more

Good Find! 8/31/2004

My co-workers and I went for the two-for-one deal after work and had a good time. The special cocktails were great and it was nice not to have to pay a fortune for them. We did get some dirty looks when we got a little loud- it isn't really for rowdy crowds and it was hard to get the waitress's attention- she kept forgetting about us! The atmosphere and music are cool and it is so convenient! Pros: Happy hour specials more

Great place to chill at 8/1/2004

Been going here regularily recently and i've enjoyed myself everytime. first time i stopped by, the owners stopped by my table and introduced themselves and they seem to be really cool people. they serve some great drinks here, and everyone in the area should def stop by to check it out. great to meet up with friends here for a quick bite before going out and then have a couple of drinks too. definitely recomended. Pros: great local place, tasty cocktails more

Gem of a Place!! 7/1/2004

This place is amazing! I felt like I was in Europe all over again. Not only do they serve top of the line espresso. But they also serve Italian paninis/desserts/ & cocktails. My absolute favs are the raspberry mojitos & espresso martinis. Must not miss out on this place & check it out soon! more
