Way overpriced for products 11/17/2014

I was satisfied with the professionalism, and quality of the work they did, but I truly believe that their prices are way overpriced. They put surge protectors on our house and later came for an included service check. We needed to replace 7 smoke detectors in the house. We are older and didn't know anything about hardwired smoke detectors. The technician made it sound like we were getting some commercial grade top notch smoke detectors and that is why they were $175 each. We bought them, but after they were installed and I saw they were First Alert and had the model number of them, I looked them up on the First Alert website. We could have bought their most expensive one for about $49 each. I can't help but think that we were ripped off and can't imagine that we will call them again or recommend them to our neighbor who wants to replace theirs. more

Exceptional attentional to detail! 11/5/2014

We required two bathroom fans installed that we had purchased. Electrical Technician Richard Cummings determined that the fans would not fit into the current allowed space, and offered two viable solutions one with the current fans, and one with new fans. Through his analysis and attention to detail it became clear that the solution would be to follow his new recommendation to substitute new fans. Richard was very professional, exceptionally diligent and detail oriented, as well as courteous to the client. OUTRAGEOUS PRICES!! 7/12/2014

Technician gave me 2 estimates to have power run to outside patio for ceiling fan install. One estimate was for $911.00 and the other was for $580.00!! This is to install a fan that cost $60 bucks!! Total waste of of my time and the tech still collected the $30 service fee! Would never recommend these guys. more

Perfect. Excellent. 7/3/2014

I found Mister Sparky advertised on the internet and I had them put in new garage door openers for me. The previous electrical system for the openers were jerry-rigged, and they came in to put a proper electrical outlet in the ceiling. They were on time, did it properly, cleaned up, and explained everything that was going on. After the job, everything was perfect. more

A comfortable experience. 6/16/2014

This was my first experience with Mr. Sparky. The workers were very kind, and very nice. They put in new outlets for us. As far as the prices go, it was pretty high for us since we have a very limited income. I didn't have time to get other estimates, and we needed the outlets done, so I stayed with them. It was a comfortable experience. more

Shocking shower!\r \r My sons' shower emitted a strong shock when touched.Josh from Mister Sparky came out and isolated the problem as faulty wiring within the walls between an adjacent bedroom. He also discovered my home was not grounded to current code. He returned a second day with reinforcements Eric and Josh, and they resolved both problems.\r \r They are licensed electricians and are extremely respectful, clean and professional in their work and appearance. They are not handymen that ""do"" electrical work. There is a huge difference in the knowledge and skill level between a handyman and a licensed electrician.\r \r I will definitely call them again if I need an electrician, plumber or HVAC repair. more

I had a good experience with Mister Sparky. 10/30/2013

Mister Sparky had some kind of deal where you pay one price and then twice a year you call them--they don't call you--to come out and check the air or heat or whatever. So I had bought that and called them to come and take a look at my fuse box. Whoever had worked on the fuse box previously had done quite a number on it. It was upside down and this and that. The gentleman from Mister Sparky put new fuses in there. Half of the house is old and I have the screw-in fuses. I asked him how much it would be to work on that he said $2,000. I couldn't afford the $2,000 then. The box he put new fuses in is in the kitchen and the old box is in the hallway on the other side of the house. The fuses in there are dinosaurs and I need to get rid of them. The serviceman was very nice. I got them out of the yellow pages. My daughter had also said she had seen Mister Sparky on T.V. and to give them a call. They're very good. I had no complaints whatsoever. more

Pretty good. 9/30/2013

Mister Sparky came out to my house about a year ago, checked out what I needed done with my electricity, and gave me a price. I didn't end up using them because I couldn't afford the price. The people were pretty nice, though. The guys who came to my house were very knowledgeable. If you're looking into them, you should probably get a comparable estimate from another party. more

Mister Sparky is great. I had a couple of fans that I couldn't turn the lights on and they fixed them both. George came himself and did the job. Everything works fine; it's excellent. He has great customer service. I had had him over before and he did a great job the first time around as well. more

Mister Sparky came out and did a really good job. We had some questions about some wiring and he came out. He knew his stuff. He didn't under service us and he didn't over service us. He did the job that needed to be done. I'm happy with Mister Sparky. We would use them again if we needed electrical work. more

Checked our home's wiring 5/13/2013

Mister Sparky came to check the wiring in our house recently. They examined our attic and replaced anything that needed to be done before the summer heat set in on our home. The person they sent out was great and got the job done. We have no complaints. more
