The Dr came in & ignored me & my friend while assessing the pet & walked out. 5 min later he came in took an anal sample & walks out. 5 min later he came in & I SPOKE TO HIM & he walks out not saying a word.10 min later he came in & bluntly says-Your dog has Parvo.My friend began to cry & told the Dr she didnt know what to do bc she thought her little dog was going to die.The Dr tells her-its going to die without treatment.So I told the Dr do what he can, I will help her pay it. It was only at THAT POINT that they began doing ANYTHING for the little dog.The Dr then smacks my friend on the back rather hard three times & says just go home & call me at 9 am tomorrow.After crying all night she calls at 8am & they would not tell her anything - they wouldnt even tell her if the dog was still alive! Frantic at that point thinking her dog had died my friend was forced to wait the extra hr for the vet to arrive just to find out she was ok.That afternoon one of the assistants told my friend her dog was doing great that she had stood up & wagged her tail leading my friend to believe the treatment was working.The 3rd day at 9am when she called they told her she had died & they charged her $156.00. I went to the clinic to pick up the little dogs body & pay on her bill & was told they dont accept payments.She asked me if I had spoken to anyone earlier about this to make arrangements but I was too upset over the dogs death to even remember that the Dr had agreed to accept me helping her & as I was stunned that they would NOT take a payment from me the girl looks on the computer. So I told her I had intended to pay either $80.00 today & the rest on the 1st (which was only 5 days away) OR I would write a pre dated check for them to hold until the 1st for the full amount & she went to speak with the Dr. She then comes into the room & informs me that the Dr said for me to give them the $80.00 AND a check for the rest!!!! Still upset over the dogs death I was floored by her response so I told her-No you will get the $80.00 OR a check like I told you,but you will not get BOTH!!!! This is not even MY DOG & this bill is not MY responsibility, just forget it I will have my friend come up here &deal with it. & walking out the door, she hollars back-No wait a min I will go talk to the Dr! & I replied- NO you can forget it, Im not paying ANYTHING now! & I went to my truck. Sitting in my truck waiting for it to cool off I began texting my friend to tell her what had happened & the Dr came out to my truck & began yelling at me accusing me of jumping all over the staff & telling me how he didnt HAVE to treat the dog anyway! After 30 min of the Dr & I yelling at each other he finally says he will hold a check for me for the full amount if I want to pay it & then as he walks away says- You do whatever your conscious allows you to do.(OMG!!!!) I sat in my truck completely abliviated by what had happened at least 30min & after composing myself, I went inside & gave them a check for the full amount & asked for the dogs body & left. Later that evening while I was standing inside at a convenience store another assistants that works there walks in & accused me of jumping all over the girl at the desk!!!! Tells me she is sweet & doesnt deserve to be treated that way. So I replied- Like your doing to ME right now? I dont appreciate YOU coming in HERE judging me like that when you were not there & you dont know what happened.I did NOT jump on her, there was NO confrontation between me & her.The confrontation took place IN THE PARKING LOT between me & the DR, not HER -THE DOCTOR!"" She then looks dead in my face & infront of all the customers in that store she says-Well OBVIOUSLY it happened OTHER THAN the way YOU say it did! basically calling me a LIAR. So I told her-You just believe whatever you want. & I ignored her. I will not EVER go back to that clinic again they are completely unprofessional. I will drive clear across the state to see a vet from now on.
