GREAT IMPROVEMENT! 8/30/2007

200% improvement since my last visit. I went to Milan about a year ago and it SUCKED! The food was terrible the service even worse (including management!) I reluctantly went back last weekend, and to my surprise, the place had really changed. Pros: Patio, Ambience, Tapas more

Don't Go! 4/15/2007

I wish I had read the other review before going to Milan. It all started when we placed our order. When we asked the waitress to describe the sauce atop a certain entree, she couldn't describe it and didn't offer to ask anyone. Then, it took 35 minutes from the time our order was placed for it to come out. And, this might have been okay if it was a busy time, but there were only 4 other parties in the entire restaurant. The temperature of the food was not right (was not warm enough), and there was just nothing good to brag about. It was just okay. Furthermore, while we were eating, a kid entered the patio doors, approached our table and asked us to purchase candy (which would be okay if I was anywhere but inside a restaurant eating). But, the staff saw him and did nothing to remove him from our table. Overall, the food was nothing great, but the service was appauling. Cons: service, food more

Food and Service: Worst in Atlanta 11/16/2006

I have been here a few times, usually on a Sunday afternoon when it's nice out to sit on the patio, but I can assure you that I will not go back. The food is awful - no flavor and boring - a complete waste of money. But the service - I cannot put into words how lame the staff is. How pathetic. Everytime I've been there, the staff just disappears - all of them - and for extremely long periods of time. Even if you go inside to try and find someone to help you, there's no one around - no one. It's ridiculous. Hey - I have an idea - why don't you try doing your jobs! Has it ever occured to any of you that if you provide good service, that means you'll get a good tip!? Obviously not. The complete staff is absolutely useless - there's no hope for any of them. And, yes, the manager is as worthless as they are. Pros: Patio Cons: Service and Food more

Ridiculously Bad Service 8/26/2006

Milan may have one of the best patios in Atlanta, but it doesn't come close in any way to making up for its average bland food and downright despicable customer service. I've visted Milan a few times and each and every time service has been subpar, and after last week, I decided that was the last straw and the last time I would ever go to Milan. Pros: Patio Cons: Average food and below average customer service more

Service less than wonderful 8/24/2006

CC and I ventured out to Milan as she'd never been but passed it every day, so we wandered in on Thursday (the previous rater must have been at the next table). First I was pleasantly surprised to find it not too crowded, and offering 50% off everything until 9pm. Pros: Patio is inviting, food is superb Cons: Service needs retooling more

Worst customer service 8/23/2006

We went on a Thursday night (not that busy) but we had horrible, very slow service. At the end of our 2 hour dinner the server messed up our check and was not at all apologetic about it. She even tried to blame it on us, saying we didn't pay enough. When we asked to talk to the manager, it took 20 minutes for him to come out. He fixed the problem but was extremely rude about it. I am never going back. Pros: view Cons: loud, horrible service more

Mingling, music and drinks 6/24/2006

We heard the music playing from the patio as we walked from our hotel (Westin) and decided to go over. The patio was crowded so we sat inside by the bar (still open to the outside). Several waiters came by to ask if we had been served and had 3 menus arrive separately. We were asked if we wanted a patio seat (we did) and was promptly moved to the next available patio table in 5 minutes. The waiters/waitresses were excellent and customer service was GREAT. The food (appetizer) was wimpy (5 shrimp) but delicious and the drinks were good. The music was a live Jazz Band that only had a 20 minute set (which was not enough time) and they were ok. Nothing to rave about. Plenty of singles and couples mingling and having a great time. I liked the customer service (waiters, waitresses AND management came over to make sure all was well), the music was not superb but definitely something to listen to as you drink and eat. The ambience was very nice. I would recommend a visit if you are in a nearby hotel and want to find someplace to have drinks and listen to a little jazz. Pros: Customer Service, Ambience Cons: Average food and entertainment. more

Customer Service and Food : HORRIBLE! 6/14/2006

I went there with a group of friends and to my surprise the food was so below average, the portions were tiny and above all customer service sucked. The servers were so bored to death and they were least interested in taking orders, we had to go and request for someone to take orders and when someone finally came, they messed up the order and made the evening such a disaster. Pros: Patio Cons: Food is bad more
